dim sum(31) chinese(20) dishes(14) chicken(12) fresh(11) group(10) fried(10) busy(10) dumpling(9) quick(8) price(8) shrimp(8)Went there on a weekend for dim sum. It gets quite busy during lunchtime, but we were seated fairly quickly. Orders are placed through a QR code, which is convenient. We have visited Imperial a few times before, but this visit was a bit underwhelming. The food was average & not as fresh as we expected. The xiao long bao, in particular, lacked the juiciness it used to have. Overall, the consistency seems to be slipping.
It was our first time going & we were presently surprised on how good the food was. My wife & I could not finish everything. The plates are a very large portion. We brought some home & had enough for 2 more lunches. The service was excellent & overall a very nice dinner. We will definitely go back.
Ok it got a lot better, i really like it now. The food was great & there was so much variety. The dim sum was good too. Had an excellent brunch here.
I feel like their rating should go up to a 4.3-4.5.
i forgot to take pictures while eating so enjoy the singular picture of the fried taro dumplings
note that the tiny little fried squid plate is NINE DOLLARS
Very nice chinese restaurant with dishes from multiple provinces. Seen a lots of weterns people enjoyinh their meal there, pretty rare for a Chinese restaurant to achieve that (about half of customers are westerns people). Meals come in large portion, didnt really expect that much amount at the price they give
No other place like it in the West Island! Really good food & service is fast!!
We ordered through Uber eats & honestly never again. It was very expensive & I was extremely underwhelmed. First off, the food wasn't hot, it was warm at best & needed to be reheated in the microwave.
The general tao had good flavors but got too much after a few bites (very sweet). It was the best thing we ordered though.
For the beef & broccoli, well the broccoli was barely cooked & the beef had a very mild taste.
The wonton soup was also bland & underwhelming.
My family seemed to enjoy it more than I did but agreed that we've had better.
In my opinion, don't waste your money. There are better restaurants out there & for a lot less money.
Not impressed with the state they have in place for reservation, I called Wednesday for reservations on Saturday & spoke with someone who said call back Friday to make a reservation for Saturday, the I call back Friday afternoon & they tell me to call back later that evening. I called back around 7pm only to be forgotten about for 20 minutes only to be told that the restaurant was booked for a banquet for Saturday.
It's not bad enough to had to wait on hold for 20 minutes but the to play this game of who's got the answers.
Now I have scrambled to get a place to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. Thanks for nothing. 0/10
New restaurant on the West Island; service has slowed down quite a bit: 45 minutes wait to have food served.
We are great fans of the Imperial restaurant. We love to go for Dim Sum & their dumplings are very plump filled with yummy goodness. We also adore their sticky rice. We tend to go first thing in the morning & there is always space. The staff are pleasant & service is very fast. We received our order 7 minutes after placing it online using the code on our table. We recommend the Imperial for Dim Sum fans in the West Island as we are loyal customers who are so happy they are here.
Please clean up your bathrooms & back area to the bathrooms. Need lots of attention! Food is great. Thanks!
I have been here twice - once with a group of about 10, once for lunch with 2 people. The food both times was fresh & delicious. For a large group the family style portions make for tremendous value for the money, & lots of great food. At lunch one main was split between two, & it was plenty of food.
Nice elegant Chinese restaurant in the West Island. Plenty of parking available. Food is tasty with good portions. Price is on the upper end. The service was nothing special. The temperature was extremely hot. Borderline unbearable. Asked if they could make it a little cooler & the response was that the air conditioning was at maximum. I estimate that it was around 25 degrees
Beef chow fun was smoky & flavorful, seafood crispy noodles had perfect crunch with rich seafood sauce, chicken feet were tender & well-seasoned, & the seafood tofu soup was comforting & full of fresh flavor. Generous portions & authentic, worth a visit!
The food is fine but be careful & check your bill. Not only have i been overcharged with extra dishes but also they charged us twice for the same meal by allowing two different people to unknowingly pay the same bill - how could that even be possible??.
It was my first visit to Restaurant Imperial in the DDO Mega Mall & I was impressed by the warm greeting & the welcoming atmosphere. We ordered the Hot & Sour Soup & Peanut Butter Dumplings & they arrived quickly. They were fresh & delicious. We also ordered Crispy Noodle Black Pepper Sauce Beef on Sizzling Plate, Peanut Butter Chicken Crispy Spinach & General Tao Chicken. The food was fresh & tasty & the service was impeccable. Will definitely visit again. This has become my favourite West Island Chinese restaurant.
