The food comes out very fast! I didn't notice them automatically adding a tip but the service was definitely bad. We had to specifically ask for chopsticks (none were given to us) & we had to ask for water three times before being given any (we only ended up being able to drink halfway through eating). Many people have mentioned the female server with short hair & glasses, I agree that her attitude was a bit curt. There seems to be a difference with how they treat Chinese people v.s. white people, so maybe the service would be good if you are Chinese. Overall I would definitely go again, just be prepared to ask for things specifically (possibly multiple times) & expect slightly weird service.
The first thing I have to say about this restaurant is the wok Hei is on point. You can't go wrong with the beef padsew. The smoky flavour that the wok gives, you can't find it everywhere. The salt & pepper calamari are just fingerlicious. The spiciness combines with the wok hei is so fragrant. I like to have the snow flower fat beef hot pot. The beef is so tender, but sometimes the cut is too tick. The small pot can easily feed 3 adults. In terms of service, it can be improved. Don't really expect top-notch customer services in Chinatown. The decor is typically chinese restaurant decor. The price is very good for the quality & quantity.
Tasty food! Came here just shy of midnight as I hadn't gotten dinner earlier & there weren't that many options open nearby. I asked the owner & they noted that they were open until 1:30am everyday. I ordered the shrimp fried rice. 15% tip is added automatically (manual calculation by hand); I'm not sure whether or not this is a bad thing - I guess an alternative view is to make your tip worth it by requiring good service throughout. To address some of the other reviews, service was alright but there's definitely some bias at play. The restaurant is a little grittier which is consistent with most restaurants in the area. The Chinese style of carpet laid restaurant flooring doesn't lend itself towards easy upkeep unfortunately.
Visiting Montreal from Mississauga & decided to go to Chinatown for a small meal. Went at around 7 PM so it was quite busy, but we were luckily able to find a seat right away. We ordered fried pork intestines, a veggie dish & crispy pigeon. The fried pork intestines had nice flavour & a nice crispy exterior. The veggie dish was flavourful & they gave a huge portion. Only downside was that it was a bit tough. The crispy pigeon was delicious as it has a nice crunch to it, it tasted like a combination of duck & pork. All in all the food was good & veggie portion was massive. One major con is that the meat dishes were a bit small in portion size & the price was expensive for what you get. But a good experience overall for my first restaurant while visiting Montreal.

They seated us quickly & the food was plentiful & delicious but the service was horrible & the waiter indifferent & unfriendly. Brought the wrong soup & was angry when we asked it to be corrected then spilled a large portion of 1 of the main course dishes & didn’t wipe it or bring napkins for us to wipe it - had to flag another waiter. Didn’t bring water or ask if we needed anything.
Went here at night for a hotpot & enjoyed it! Will cost you 70$+ for 2 which I find they give a good portion!
Went there last minute for a bit. The food honestly hit the spot. Happy I stopped by. Great service, I will be coming back.
There was fruit flies flying all around us. The staff weren’t very attentive at all. My noodles were burnt, undercooked, & cooked in the same plate (idk how that even happened). I only ate the vegetables from my plate. They were pretty good vegetables
I have ordered many times from this place because they have a large crab asparagus soup. I don't know if it is really crab, but I like it, & it really hits the spot when you need a warm soup & a light meal. It deserves four stars. I tried many other dishes, the lemon chicken, which I really liked until I found one that blew it away. So say 4 stars as well, but really 3. However, it non-fried chicken dishes, I did not like their chicken meat. In beef dishes, I did not like their beef. I tried the steamed shrimp dumpling as a started, & that was perfect; 5 stars. But the hunan dumplings were tasteless, 2 or 3 stars. I will continue ordering when I really need that soup, with that dumpling. But on average, it really is average.
Un endroit rayé definitivement de la liste des bons restaurants : non recommandé pour le service déplorable & décevant! La nourriture était objectivement bonne, mais le plaisir de manger disparait aussi vite qu'apparait le serveur, quand il veut bien prendre le temps de venir.. Si il était possible de mettre 0 pour ce point, cela serait sans hésiter dû à l'absence totale d'attention portée envers le client.
