Bought a whole duck here. It looked good in the window but once I warmed it up, it looked very dry. After the first bite I was disgusted. The duck was at least a day old if not longer. It tasted awful. Selling old meat without telling customers is a horrible practice. Never again
Les gens qui critiquent ce restaurant ne connaissent pas la cuisine chinoise. Exemple : les nouilles chinoises'brûlées' & croustillantes.
Si ça avait été des pâtes'al assassina' italiennes ou une recette d'un grand chef français, on aurait encensé la recette, mais comme c'est une cuisine qu'on ne connaît pas, on se permet de la critiquer.
Si vous ne connaissez pas la gastronomie chinoise (les chinois publiaient des livres de recette au moins 1000 ans avant que les français ne le fassent), n'allez pas au quartier chinois !
& si vous êtes allergique à quoi que ce soit, N'ALLEZ PAS AU QUARTIER CHINOIS. Ils vous diront que tout va bien pour vous faire plaisir, même si ce n'est pas le cas.

Je donne un 5 pour la malpropreté selon un journaliste de TVA. Je m'aime pas faire ça mais le proprio ne semble pas l'importance d'aller un restaurant hygiénique.
Un restaurateur récidiviste du quartier chinois de Montréal a reçu trois amendes totalisant 6200$, depuis deux ans, pour sa malpropreté généralisée & la présence importante de crottes de rats & de souris un peu partout.
Les problèmes des deux dernières années du Restaurant Cuisine Cantonaise avec les inspecteurs ont débuté le 20 mars 2023. Dès le début de la visite, ils croisent une crotte de rat dans l'escalier. Mais ce sont les crottes de souris qui ont fini par coûter une amende de 2400$ au commerce.
Mauvaise odeur d'humidité en rentrant. La nourriture est bonne, mais le bâtiment est à nettoyer / rénover. Le personnel est très gentil. Petite mouches à fruits dans la sauce soya de notre table.
Came here for late night supper after spa day at Bota Bota, place was still open at 10pm. Got pipa tofu, steamed pork with salted egg yolk (very tradish homey Canto dish, perfect with rice) & beef noodles (gan chow ngo hor) hit the spot perfectl
First time there & I am recommand it.
The plate is only one thing. So it's good to share. I recommand you order some white rice & a vegetables plate.
Orange chicken just marvelous!
Shrimps & vegetable soup great but little to greasy for my daughter.
Spicy schrimps are great too.
Il y a plusieurs années, j'ai mangé un met délicieux d'un canard laqué complet composé de deux parties : des crêpes accompagnées de la peau du canard & le reste de la viande mélangée à un assortiment de légumes. Les crêpes étaient à la hauteur de mes attentes & correspondaient à mes souvenirs. Par contre, le plat de viande n'était clairement pas fait à partir des restes de la carcasse, car la viande était sèche, probablement les restes d'un autre canard congelé. La portion était la moitié de celle que j'avais déjà mangée. Très décevant, car on n'en a pas eu pour notre argent! C'est certain que je n'y retournerai pas, car seulement la première partie du plat était faite à partir du canard rôti commandé.

5/5 in my books for getting good cheap Chinese food! I don't want anything fancy, I just want good food to have with friends & this place did that. Went late at night because I saw they're open until midnight & the staff were really nice (complimented my debit that I have stickers on which was sweet) & the portions were huge! Will be coming back again ☺?
Je conçois que l'ambiance & le décor pourrait être amélioré mais ça reste très correcte. Pour ce qui est de la nourriture, ils font un des meilleurs riz frit que j'ai mangé à Montréal. Mention spéciale pour le poulet signature avec la petite sauce gingembre ail oignons verts sur le côté!
I mean, I really didn't have high expectations so that in itself made for an okay experience. We got the Canto noodles, fried rice, mixed veggies & dumplings. The dumplings were a huge disappointment as they were underdone & tasteless. The problem is they are so packed & don't speak the best english so making a complaint isnt even worth it.
The food also felt microwaved because usually hot food from the pan you can tell is steaming but when things are microwaved the heat is trapped underneath & in the middle so the steam doesn't rise. Again, not the end of the world but not good either.
The mixed veggies & fried rice were the saving grace here because the Canto noodles were not good until I put some soy sauce in. Otherwise, a forgettable place & I am sure there are some better options around selling the same type of food with better service & quality.
Not good service as expected for a Chinese restaurant, but I at least expect food to be good. Have to ask for ice water, not refilling it. When asked if certain food contains peanuts, waiter just annoyingly said no. We order 1/2 a roasted duck, it came out BLACK & DRY. It was old & they re-deep refry it. When I told the lady, she just said she would mention to the owner, that's all. A guy brought our noodle out, it was the wrong type but we started eating anyways thinking oh well, no surprise. However, he came back & said oh, I gave you the wrong dish. He asked us the put the food back onto the plate so he could give it to the right customer, but we already started eating. He ended up took that dish away & proceeded to give it to the other customer.
When everything else is closed, this place is open. The number of Chinese tourists eating here may be testimony to its authenticity or just a coincidence becauas this place is open late. Food was fantastic. Fixed price hot pot dinner makes choosing easy if you have a group of 2 or 4.
As a non-Chinese person, you really shouldn't expect much friendliness from the staff in these types of more traditional Chinese restaurants. You should expect absolutely delicious food & believe me that's what you'll get here!
