Dinner. The short rib & cavatelli was perfect 👌, definitely the highlight of the meal.
Unfortunately, the poulet cornouaille was disappointing - the chicken was hard to eat & felt undercooked.
The atmosphere was nice overall, but a little crowded since hotel guests are constantly passing through the corridor, which isn't separated from the restaurant area.

This restaurant had so much potential to be great - the location, menu choice, amazing staff - but the food & drinks were truly awful. My partner & I stayed at the Hotel Bonaventure for a weekend getaway & decided to give Le Kube a try. We had to send back our drinks twice -it was straight alcohol, no knowledge of recipes & we simply asked for a lemon drop - & the food was extremely oily & salty to the point it made our stomach upset. The waiter was awesome, very nice, nothing bad to say on the service !
Decided to have a relaxing evening & try out the hotel restaurant & happy I did. Service was great & food priced pretty fairly. The calamari were really good & also a big portion, enjoyed the pasta too, if it's too cold to go out of the hotel or you simply want to stay inside this is a great option to eat at!
I am so glad I made a point of trying out the hotel restaurant while staying at Hôtel Bonaventure. What a lovely, tasty, fresh meal. It was clean & comfortable, & my server was exceptionally warm & accommodating. I felt right at home. The soup of the day was a creamy potato & cheese, & served with fresh bread. I also enjoyed the Salmon Gravlax (pictured) - hit the spot!
Super slow service when you sit at the bar. I wish I had left the hotel & gone elsewhere for food. Staff seem stressed but are very inefficient. Also staff are not friendly.
After a full day of travel & finally reaching our hotel, we were pleased to discover a wonderful restaurant at the heart. We ordered Ballotine de poulet & poutine. Everything was presented beautifully with flavors bursting with every bite!

The Hotel was beautiful & I would definitely recommend it but Le Kube was a stain on a fun weekend.
Made a rez & a note saying it was one of the guests' birthdays in hopes we could present them a dessert or such. Arrived at the restaurant & stood by one of the entrances, & multiple wait staff walked around & by us without saying anything. After 5 or so minutes we walked to their other entrance point, assuming we were maybe at the wrong area, & another 5 or so minutes of staff ignoring us. Eventually, the birthday guest goes right up to a waiter to let them know we have a reservation. He says to give him a few minutes & then sits us in a corner. From the point we first arrived there were multiple tables available but we didn't know if the others were on hold so we didn't mind. We're pretty sure he forgot about us in the corner because again we can see him walking around & such & it takes another 10 minutes to be able to put in a drink & appetizers order. I also tried to give the waiter my name for the reservation so he could see the birthday note without me spoiling it for the guest.
The food was okay, I was given regular fries instead of the sweet potato I asked for but at that point, I couldn't be bothered. After our appetizers, we left & went to an actual restaurant & the food & service were great! In the morning we avoided the breakfast resto in fear we'd have the same experience.
Overall, it took almost 20 minutes to be seated (even though we had a reservation & a few tables were available), & another nearly 30 minutes for 2 drinks, fries & a salad. I'm so glad I was able to make a quick reservation at Pichai, the birthday guest loved it.

Food was pretty good, the menu cocktails were not very well-balanced, & the service was incredibly slow, even compared to other places we've eaten in Quebec. It's fine, but I wouldn't go here again if I weren't staying in the hotel.
We have eaten here twice for both breakfast & dinner during our stay. The food is good & the service is very good. When there was an issue (poached eggs were not runny) they fixed the problem quickly & without issue. Service was quite slow when the restaurant was busy (we were over an hour waiting on pizza) which meant we had to eat fast & pack it to go in order to make our show that evening. It is very nice to have a restaurant in the hotel though. Atmosphere is wonderful & very comfortable.
Bonjour, j'ai organisé un dîner avec 15 personnes. Tout était parfait, l'accueil, e service, la nourriture, le vin & le décor magnifique. Je recommande fortement Le restaurent Le Bisco de l'hôtel Bonaventure.
We are staying at the Hotel Bonaventure & decided to stay for dinner after a long day of sight seeing. We enjoyed our dinner & drinks. Worth a visit for a drinks & a meal. Staff was attentive but not over the top bothering us. They even have a robot to collect the dishes!

Le resto est beau, bien decoré & propre. Après quelques minutes d'attente à l'entrée, j'ai dû aller demander si on viendrait nous accueillir! On a pas aimé la pizza, la croûte est beaucoup trop épaisse, & les pâtes qui toutes deux manquaient de goût. Les prix des repas est trop élevé.
Nous avons aussi déjeuner & un oeuf, choix de viande, etc coûte $20 & le café, non inclut $3,50. C'est très dispendieux toutefois pratique dans l'hôtel.
L'accueil était vraiment très désagréable & nous nous sommes senti indésirables tout de suite. À peine arrivés, un monsieur nous dit directement : "Le resto est fermé! Nous n'accueillons personne à diner!" Pas de bonjour, aucune courtoisie. Je lui dis que j'ai une réservation pour 13h & qu'elle a été acceptée. Je lui mentionne que j'ai appelé l'hôtel le matin même pour m'assurer qu'ils avaient des chaises hautes pour mon bébé & ils m'ont dit oui. Agacé, le monsieur nous réfère à une madame qui nous explique que le resto n'ouvre pas à diner mais qu'elle va nous accomoder. Ma réponse était simple "non je pense que je vais y aller & on reviendra une autre fois", nous ne nous sentions pas du tout de respectés. Finalement, la madame nous dit que c'est comme on veut mais qu'elle peut vraiment nous accomoder. Le terme "accomoder", je l'ai encore en travers de la gorge & la seule raison qui a fait en sorte que nous sommes restés, c'est le fait que mon fils & mes parents qui ont plus de 70 ans avaient faim.
Heureusement, nous avons eu un excellent service de la part de Djamel & nous avons même eu un monsieur qui est venu nous voir & nous mettre à l'aise en fin de repas. La nourriture était aussi très bonne mais le mal était déjà fait. Nous ne reviendrons plus au restaurant après avoir reçu un accueil de la sorte.
NB : Si le restaurant n'est pas ouvert pour le diner, faudrait corriger les disponibilités en ligne & faudrait avertir le staff de l'hôtel à la reception! C'est la moindre des choses!
La pièce de théâtre "Entièrement Bleu" présentée autour de la piscine de l'hotel était excellente, les comédiens très bon & l'emplacement des plus agréables.
