shawarma(13) chicken(7) lebanese(5) beef(4) potatoes(4) court(4) pita(3) garlic(3) sauce(3) rapide(3) generous(3) dry(3)I got the mixed version. All I can say it was just full of oil (the meat the rice, the potatos). The sauce was terrible, & they didn't go with the flavor of the meat. The vegetables were not fresh, & they tasted weried. It tasted awful. I don't recommend this.
I ordered a beef shawarma pita trio & it was the best one I ever had. The potatoes were amazing & the extra garlic sauce was the cherry on top. Great food, amazing value.
Baba in Complex Desjardins is a good spot for a quick meal. The shawarma is fairly ordinary & nothing special, but the fried potatoes that come with it are exceptional-crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, & easily some of the best in Montréal. While the main dish may not stand out, the fries alone make it worth stopping by. A solid choice if you're craving something simple with truly amazing sides.
Working very quickly. As an English speaker I was able to communicate well with the French speaking staff. Generous portions. Not my favorite flavour profiles personally but overall good & filling .
Food court style Lebanese food is hard to nail & this place doesn't seem to do enough to separate itself over your usual boustan/basha/Amir-tier place. Despite the heart & uplifting spirit of its joyful staff, the shawarma/shishtaouk meat ends up dry & of ungenerous portion because its pre-cut & left to cook-off. Fatouch salad feels uninspired & generic. Perhaps their strength lies in their grills... But in a world where grilled specialized places exist, I fear they need to improve the freshness of their meat or disappear...
This located inside shopping mall food court. Had mix shawarma plate good taste but service staff could explain meal before add bcs some sauce I don't like but they added without asked that's the only issue. But food fast food comparing other places.
It's the place where you can enjoy authentic Lebanese food. I eat here at least once every week.
As someone who grew up in the Middle East, I am incredibly critical of middle eastern food, but I have to say, this place is spectacular. Seems very unassuming - mall food court, yet it's genuinely a hidden gem. I got the chicken shawarma plate & everything was delicious; the hummus (actually tasted authentic & not like the garbage they sell at the grocery store), the chicken was juicy with crispy edges, the rice was aromatic, & the salads were actually salads & not some dry greens. I'm very impressed. Will certainly come again next time I'm in Montreal.
