Shawarma beef was cold & tasteless I hope I won't get sick from this, please avoid it at all costs, I told the employee the beef is cold he had nothing to say & didn't even say sorry. Plz avoid, I threw the sandwich in the garbage.
I honestly didn't expect it to be this good. The potatoes were some of the best I've ever had, the garlic sauce was perfectly made, & the shawarma sandwich was delicious.
Coming from Ottawa, I have to admit that Montreal has some of the best Middle Eastern food.
I ordered a beef shawarma pita trio & it was the best one I ever had. The potatoes were amazing & the extra garlic sauce was the cherry on top. Great food, amazing value.
Baba in Complex Desjardins is a good spot for a quick meal. The shawarma is fairly ordinary & nothing special, but the fried potatoes that come with it are exceptional-crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, & easily some of the best in Montréal. While the main dish may not stand out, the fries alone make it worth stopping by. A solid choice if you're craving something simple with truly amazing sides.
J'ai enfin retrouvé cette shawarma qui exprime les sensations culinaire que j'ai pu connaître au Liban & celle de mon enfance je recommande
Food court style Lebanese food is hard to nail & this place doesn't seem to do enough to separate itself over your usual boustan/basha/Amir-tier place. Despite the heart & uplifting spirit of its joyful staff, the shawarma/shishtaouk meat ends up dry & of ungenerous portion because its pre-cut & left to cook-off. Fatouch salad feels uninspired & generic. Perhaps their strength lies in their grills... But in a world where grilled specialized places exist, I fear they need to improve the freshness of their meat or disappear...
