Review Summary

Restaurant Baba generally receives praise for its fresh, high-quality ingredients, generous portions, and flavorful side dishes, particularly the garlic potatoes. Many patrons find the food to be a great value and appreciate the friendly, professional service, though experiences remain inconsistent. While some diners highlight the delicious shawarma and perfectly balanced seasonings, others report frustrations regarding dry meats, inconsistent food preparation, and occasional instances of rude or inattentive service. Ultimately, the establishment is viewed as a convenient spot for a quick meal, with most visitors enjoying the authentic Middle Eastern flavors despite occasional lapses in quality control.

I liek the rice here a lot & the cabbage salad is quite good, but the last few times I went but the chicken & beef were quite dried out & not that enjoyable, which is disappointing. Not my go to in the food court anymore, but decent.

Food court style Lebanese food is hard to nail & this place doesn't seem to do enough to separate itself over your usual boustan/basha/Amir-tier place. Despite the heart & uplifting spirit of its joyful staff, the shawarma/shishtaouk meat ends up dry & of ungenerous portion because its pre-cut & left to cook-off. Fatouch salad feels uninspired & generic. Perhaps their strength lies in their grills... But in a world where grilled specialized places exist, I fear they need to improve the freshness of their meat or disappear...

This located inside shopping mall food court. Had mix shawarma plate good taste but service staff could explain meal before add bcs some sauce I don't like but they added without asked that's the only issue. But food fast food comparing other places.

As someone who grew up in the Middle East, I am incredibly critical of middle eastern food, but I have to say, this place is spectacular. Seems very unassuming - mall food court, yet it's genuinely a hidden gem. I got the chicken shawarma plate & everything was delicious; the hummus (actually tasted authentic & not like the garbage they sell at the grocery store), the chicken was juicy with crispy edges, the rice was aromatic, & the salads were actually salads & not some dry greens. I'm very impressed. Will certainly come again next time I'm in Montreal.
