Pasqualino Eni is a passionate chef and pizzaiolo on a mission to introduce people to authentic Italian cuisine and top-quality pizza—with a touch of showmanship. Known for his exceptional craftsmanship, this iconic figure in Italian pizza-making is now one of the most renowned chefs in his field.
Over the past ten years, Pasqualino has traveled across Italy, perfecting his craft. He is now based in Canada, where he shares his passion through impressive culinary performances that highlight true Italian traditions.
Originally from Pace del Mela, a small town in the province of Messina, Sicily, Pasqualino began his career at the restaurant “La Griglia.” He later managed the well-known “Aeolia Seafood Restaurant” for several years. His dream has always been clear: to bring the authentic flavors of Italy to people around the world.
Today, Pasqualino is the executive chef and star pizzaiolo at Restaurant Regina, located on Montreal’s South Shore—a beloved establishment known for its warm atmosphere and unforgettable Italian flavors.
Regina Pizzeria offers a warm, welcoming Italian dining experience with wood fired pizzas, fresh pastas, and hearty entrees that feel homemade. Guests consistently praise authentic flavors, generous portions, and a homey atmosphere that makes meals feel like gatherings with family. I visited this Italian restaurant & was pleasantly surprised. I tried the pasta & the lasagna, & both were delicious well seasoned, made with fresh ingredients, & full of that homemade flavor you expect from authentic Italian cuisine. The service was friendly & attentive without being intrusive, & the place itself has a warm, cozy atmosphere. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience that I would definitely recommend.
We ordered 2 drinks, 2 appetizers, 2 pastas & 2 pizzas. It was not tasty at all. The way it's presented on the plate was terrible! I ordered hot appetizers & were served in less than five minutes. I wonder how it got such high ratings. If this is authentic Italian, then I need to take Italian off my list of favorite foods. I regret not taking photos.

From perfectly crisp wood-fired pizzas to rich homemade pastas, every bite reflects their dedication to traditional cuisine. The young, friendly staff adds to a lively yet welcoming atmosphere, making guests feel right at home.
The only drawback is the wine list-while it offers a decent selection, the pricing is excessive, often 4 to 5 times the SAQ equivalent.
Despite this, the professionalism of the staff & the exceptional food make this a standout spot for Italian dining on the Southshore of Montreal.
Highly recommended, just be mindful of the wine markup.
Randomly stumbled upon this place. It was packed & full of such good energy, family hospitality & authentic Italian food. We loved the wood fired pizzas & the Caesar salad was so fresh, made from scratch. Service was exceptional! Definitely recommend.
This is the 2nd time we came & each time is better than previous. We ordered a Fusili Pesto & the shape of the pasta was so cute. The sauces have a very subtled & aromatic flavor. The pizza is light & flavorful. The best italian restaurant in the South Shore. We have been looking for a good Italian restaurant for years & we finally found it, not only that, it's an authentic Italian restaurant! The staff is super friendly.

Pizza Regina était un petit joyau, mais elle semble avoir perdu une partie de sa saveur & de son authenticité au fil des ans. Client depuis l'ouverture, j'ai toujours apprécié l'accueil chaleureux du patron, de sa femme & de leur famille. Quand ils s'occupent de vous, le service est excellent. Cependant, avec le succès croissant du restaurant, la cuisine est souvent confiée à d'autres pizzaiolos, & la générosité italienne s'est estompée... Les prix augmentent, mais les garnitures diminuent. Là où on avait autrefois une pizza honnête, généreusement garnie de fromage & de roquette; on se retrouve maintenant avec très peu de tout... quelques millimètres de fior di latte, & quatre brindilles de roquette. Cela dit, Pizza Regina offre encore la meilleure « pâte » à pizza de la Rive-Sud, proche de l'authenticité napolitaine, ce que ses concurrents, notamment au Dix30, ne parviennent pas à égaler. C'est toujours un bon restaurant & une bonne option pour une pizza sur la Rive-Sud, mais selon qui fait la pizza & l humeur du moment - l experience peut etre différente... j'y vais moins souvent qu'avant en raison de cette évolution.

The flavors are rich & true to tradition, making every bite a delightful experience. The owners are incredibly attentive, with special mention to Sara, who went above & beyond to ensure our meal was perfect. The owner, Lino, is meticulous in his service & the quality of food, which truly shows in the overall experience. Highly recommended!

Récemment, j'ai eu la chance de passer trois semaines sur la rive sud de Montréal pour le travail. Pendant ce séjour, j'ai découvert le restaurant Regina Pizzeria, & quel délice! Leur bavette est un véritable régal, le saumon grillé est parfaitement cuit, les linguinis aux fruits de mer sont un festin pour les papilles, & leur pizza au four à bois est sans doute l'une des meilleures de Montréal. Chaque repas était une expérience culinaire inoubliable! Best authentic Italian restaurant on south shore
Amazing restaurant! Very authentic food. The Menu was in Italian or French, so we had to use google Translater. The server was friendly & spoke good English, so it was easy to order. We ordered Lamb chops, Regina pizza, a meet loveres pizza, Mushroom Risotto, & topped it with Tiramosu. Prosciutto was amazing!!!!! Great experience overall. Plenty of parking & also plenty of menu options.
Went for supper tonight. Quite surprised since the reviews were very good but the location is odd. The waitress/service was excellent. Very nice & welcoming. The food was very good.... Had arancini, meatballs, ceasar salad, mac & cheese (not your typical mac & cheese but i found it to be very good), & pizza. All items were very good & i would strongly recommend. As for the prices, nothing to complain about there.... Go to some restaurants at dix30 & the food is very "average" & not authentic for similar if not higher prices.
Nice authentic pizzas in South Shore of Montreal with a good selection. The portions are good too. Opens a little longer then other pizzerias in the neighborhood which is nice

Amazing amazing place for authentic pizza & pasta. We have been fans of the owners pizza since we met him a few years ago & now we don't go anywhere else for pizza.
Really authentic Italian food & the service is amazing Rebecca is offering you the best service. Delicious pizza crispy enough to make you happy. You can choose between different italian receipts & for sure you will come back. Don’t miss your chance to come to Regina Pizzeria. I will be back soon.

Regina's is the restaurant on the South Shore where you can get delicious, authentic Italian food. Everything was flavourful, fresh & delicious. Vegetarian pizza was the best I have ever had. Excellent service as well! Auguri!!!
