I didn't see it written anywhere on the storefront but this is a cash only place. There is an ATM just inside which may be used if necessary. The service was good. The tables are spaced enough to have a fair amount of room & not feel too cramped like some other restaurants in the area. I got the seared chicken & cilantro dumplings at the suggestion of the staff. The dumplings were good but I wish I got the steamed dumplings instead. The seared dumplings had good texture but I had trouble tasting the filling over the flavor from the sear. I'll try this place again for sure.View more

My wife & I enjoyed a nice lunch at Mai Xiang Yuan Dumpling. She ordered the boiled dumplings. I ordered the fried. We both got the wonton soup. The service, atmosphere & food were all great. Only challenge that they are cash only (has an ATM in the entrance). I'd definitely go here again!View more

J'ai tellement été surprise à ma première visite! Par les bas prix, le très bon goût & la rapidité du service. 28$ tx incluses pour 15 dumplings au porc, 2 salades de concombres & 4 raviolis à l'arachide c'est tellement un bon prix! Je vais y retourner c'est sur. Le seul hic c'est que c'est argent comptant seulement, mais il y a une machine ATM à l'entrée du resto.View more

Delicious, flavourful & reasonably priced dumplings with vegetarian options. We had steamed & fried dumplings & both were really good depending on your preference. We found the lunch menu had a lot of missing items compared to what was online, but there were still lots to choose from though not many vegetarian options.View more

They have real Northern China dumplings. I am from Northern China. The dumplings here taste better than what my grandma made. Price is very reasonable, only 10-15 dollars for a dish of dumplings, which were all hand made I believe. Strongly recommend.View more

Les points forts: la bouffe était vraiment excellente, le service était rapide & l'endroit est bien situé! Je recommande les dumplings au boeuf & curry! Les points faibles: la personne qui nous a servi était très directe, donc il faut s'y attendre avant d'y aller. Comme c'était la première fois que nous visitions le restaurant, nous avons demandé quelle quantité était raisonnable, & il nous a répondu "2 ou 3 plats, mais pour vous plus 3". Il a aussi oublié de nous amener un plat que nous avions commandé. Le pourboire est aussi exigé à la caisse dans le restaurant (au moins 15%). Ça nous aurais fait plaisir de laisser un bon pourboire pour la qualité & l'authenticité des plats, mais le service manquait de délicatesse. Cependant, j'y retournerais.View more

The first thing I'm told is that it's cash only; then when it's time to pay, the price was higher than what I expected, so I asked for the bill; the guy didn't even printed out the bill. After seeing the bill, he already charged "tips" in the price. Since when tips are automatically added in the invoice? The dumplings looked good but flavorless.View more

I NEVER leave disappointed from this place. This restaurant is a hidden gem, not only do they have student friendly prices but their food is amazing. Our group of 5 where all able to eat till we felt like we where about to POP for only 60$!! Iv tried almost every dumpling they offer & not one of them is bad, my noteable favourites being their xiao long boa with pork & shrimp, amazing! I recommend this place not only to people who want to save money, but people who are genuinely looking for authentic & delicious cuisine.View more

Good dumpling restaurant. The place seems to have been renovated. Looks nice & clean. However, it's still CASH only. No cards accepted. I ordered steamed dumplings but the waiter misunderstood. We got fried dumplings instead. Personally, I feel that these fried dumplings are just too fried that you can't really enjoy the taste of the filling. I was disappointed. I also had a wonton soup. It was ok but not great. In the past, I've had steamed dumplings here & they were delicious so I would probably come back.View more

Whenever I come here I'm never left disappointed. The service is great & everyone there is kind. On the other hand the food is delicious! Now when it comes to the food I ordered 3 things: - Pork & Chives Xiao long baos - Pork & Shrimp Xiao long baos - Pan fried pork & chives dumplings The Xiao long baos (soup dumplings) were outstanding! The pork & chives ones have a light flavour & the soup is so flavourful. I wasn't the biggest fan of soup dumplings before this restaurant. I found that the soup was more greasy somehow. The soup is light & the flavour just burst into your mouth. The pork & shrimp soup dumplings were on another level. If you aren't able to eat shrimp I recommend the pork & chives! The pork & shrimp dumplings had so much flavour. The umami taste that leaves you wanting another one. I love how there is so many different types of dumplings on the menu too. The pan fried dumplings are great as well! You can't go wrong with pan fried dumplings. I'm personally a fan of the chicken pan fried dumplings here but I decided to try the pork ones. The pork & chives are heavy but the crispness of the skin goes so well with the filling. There is also lots of seating & its cash only but they have a atm at the front! I used their takeout service during covid & was very satisfied. Recently went there for lunch with a friend & we ordered fried as well as steamed dumplings : shrimp & pork as well as beef & Curry. The shrimp & pork were over fried, which was not the case during covid, & I think it was an exception to the norm. Both orders were delicious.View more
