Where ramen and miso meets
Ever since Japan’s Edo period (1600 to 1867 AC), Miso has been known as a healthy and tasty
condiment and has been beloved for generations.
Miso is made with soybeans, rice (or barley in some cases) and salt by being fermented for a certain
period of time. It originated in China, spread to Japan in the 9th century and became known as Miso paste. In the long history of Japan, Miso has been a sufficient protein source, to enhance rice, soup or as a sauce over vegetable side dishes.
As a fermented food, miso is a great source of probiotics or beneficial bacteria, which increases the
health of your gut and enhances your immune system. Miso is also high in protein, in minerals like
manganese and zinc, and vitamin E, vitamin K, various B vitamins, and folic acid.

I found the broth kind of flavorless & the noodles weren't particularly good either.
Service was okay but also kind of slow.
So disappointed in my experience today. I've been coming to this place for years but started coming less because the food was less qualitative than it used to be. I decided to give it another chance today.
It took more than 1 hour for me to get my bowl of ramen. In the past, I've never waited more than 20 minutes, even when the place was full. I ordered extra fries (4pcs) with my bowl. After more than an hour, the server brought the bowl with 2 pcs & says they will bring the rest soon, which then arrived at the end of my bowl. How is it so difficult to fry 4 fries? Tofu was also missing on my bowl but the wait was so long that i didn't want to ask & wait more. The ramen was good, broth was flavorful but not spicy for tantanmen. Not good enough for such a long wait tho.
The server was very kind, was tryng her best & i could see that she was embarassed of the situation.
Sadly, i think it was my last time there!
Great service. The ramen was also extremely fresh will be back !
I wasn't expecting such a light broth in the Gold kome. I had to order a spicy sauce to add some flavour to it. The potatoes inside were cold. Other ramen shops have more depth in the flavors. Maybe it was just a bad time. Might come again.
I've come here many times, the food is amazing & the service great & fast.
It is to note that a couple of times the food was too salty & the Cha-shu is often just fat (that might be the whole point though but just not my preference). I mostly always order the Gold kome Special which is my favorite. They offer to water it down a little with extra broth if it's too savory which is very appreciated in those rare moments.
The food there is very much worth it overall. The restaurant is small, cozy, the food is comforting. Will definetly remain a regular there.
Excellents ramen!!!
the ramen itself was very yummy & delicious! i would recommend if you were to visit this place to not be in a rush. it seemed a bit understaffed & it took about 40 min from when we placed our order to receive our food, & a couple who came in after us got their ramen before us?? there also just seemed to be a lot of unbussed tables with dirty dishes when we arrived & throughout our meal. the actual food was good once it arrived but i think maybe the issues we experienced/noticed was due to understaffing. would return just with understanding to need more time for the meal.
I came here by myself & it was really enjoyable. Quiet & surprisingly small but it had a really nice atmosphere. The waiter was really kind at helping me choose what I should try. The Gold Kome Chashu Deluxe is a good start if you're trying out ramen for the first time. It came quickly & I had a great first experience. This place truly gave me a new interest in ramen.
You simply love it & enjoy your food, great service & the food simply irresistible 🤗
This place has good review & their ramen do taste good. However, I couldn't stop doubting if it's been overrated because I waited for 40 minutes to get a normal bowl of ramen when it's not at their peak busy hour & there's only 3 other tables in the shop (1 already got served). I think everything will taste good after you sit & wait for half hour while starving.
The server did explain because there's only one chef in the kitchen. In fact, there's only one server & one chef during a weekend lunch time. I couldn't imagine how work they would experience on that day! So I think employer should definitely hire more people to help, otherwise, I doubt the quality of the food can be consistent.
Very good quick ramen, very solid meal accompanied by a nice chill vibe. Only small complains are that the noodles could've been better & the place could've been a little cleaner, besides that very satisfied with my impromptu visit
My favorite ramen spot in Montreal! The broth is always perfect but its their noodles that really make the ramen perfect here plus they have a lot of great options. Fast great service too!
Ramen Misoya is a cozy basement spot that delivers flavorful ramen at a more affordable price point than many others in the city. Portions are generous, especially the amount of chashu you get for the price.
Here's what I tried:
* Shiro Chashu Ramen - 9/10 Flavorful broth, nicely charred chashu, & a good variety of toppings.
* Gold Miso Ramen - 7.5/10 Rich & hearty broth, though some toppings were unexpected (like a fried potato wedge).
* Takoyaki - 8.5/10 Tasty, a good choice while waiting.
The staff is friendly, & the open kitchen adds a nice touch. The place is warm & inviting, but since it's located in a basement, it might be a little tricky to spot. It can get busy during lunch, & service can be a bit slow but the food is worth the wait.
Recommended, & I'll be back!
I think this place is short staffed, waited at least 45 mins for food. Taste was mediocre at most
