We both had the vegan spicy miso, very good broth & the noodles are vegan by default which is very nice. Service was perfect. I was glad to see advertising for vegan ramen on the walls too.
The place was a bit cold tho so we moved our table 🥹
This place has some great ramen! A variety of spicy, creamy & savory. The appetizer all good but I personally think their takoyaki is too deepfried. The outside is very thick & crunchy. The flavors are there but the texture is off compared to normal Takoyaki.
Ive always received fantastic service. My only complaint is the bathroom has a pee smell & need some more TLC to ensure pleasant & odorless bathroom experience.
The service was absolutely excellent, the server was kind & very nice. The seating was new & comfortable. Overall it's a solid place, the food was good but I wasn't absolutely blown away when it came to the flavors, so can't give it a perfect score. But again this is a very decent place.
The issue is that there are lots of similar spots in the area, so you are competing against many other businesses.
I would give this place a chance so you can judge for yourself. Maybe it was just the dish I had.
15% student discount offered here!! i had the red miso & it was probably the best ramen i've had outside of japan. great broth; the chashu pork was the best i've ever tasted (as someone who doesn't love pork) - thinly sliced & melts in your mouth; the bean sprouts were fresh & crunchy. my only complaint is the noodles were a little too firm & chewy. the server was great & I can only describe the service as *lightning fast!* great experience.
Very good service, the girl was super sweet & approachable at any time. Food came out fast even though there was a little crowd. Would recommend to make portions a bit bigger when it comes to soups. Overall, good experience!
Top notch ramen. The fat is well emulsified into the soup, the flavors are amazing, they mix multiple umami flavors together (miso, shoyu, porc, dashi) to create amazing boths. Noodles are thick & chewy. The only thing not fully to my taste is the porc which depending on your luck may be 80% fat sometimes which is too much, & they try to encourage a 18% minimum tips by not giving an easy lower option which really bothers me. It has always been 15% in Quebec, this is not the US, it's the employer's job to pay their employees not mine. I want none of that BS, if we yield soon they'll be asking 30%+ everywhere.
I love ramen isshin. I tried the veg shoyu at this location because they have a promo for it. I don't think it's the best ramen they make. The flavour is almost as good as the other ones I've had at the other locations but the noodles were perfectly done as usual. Jacky was my waitress & she made the experience very pleasant 🍀💖
Although the taste of the ramen are decent & they have many varieties of ramen, I find the portions of ramen here are rather small. & this was a common concensus among us as we came as a group of 3 people a couple of weeks ago. All 3 of us felt the portions were rather tiny & we ended up eating another burger at a fast food joint nearly after the bowl of noodles we had... 😆🥲
