Review Summary

Ragù Pasta e Vino draws broad praise for fresh handmade pasta and authentic Italian flavors, with standout dishes like tagliatelle and gnocchi described as divine and well complemented by wine, and a lively, welcoming atmosphere that makes it feel like a true Montreal favorite; service is often friendly and efficient, though a few guests report rude counter staff and variable takeout experiences, and some dishes or portions did not meet expectations given price or timing; overall the restaurant is seen as a dependable spot for high quality pasta, genuine hospitality, and a warm, casual dining experience that guests are eager to repeat.

I have been to Ragu numerous times for fresh pasta & it is absolutely amazing every single time. Both the servers & the chefs working are always friendly & kind, & the rotating menu which features so many different pasta & sauce combinations are always 10/10

After a show at Place des Arts last night, my husband & I were looking for a place to eat dinner. It was already a bit late (10:30pm) & as we walked by Le Marché we decided to go in. We saw fresh home made pasta in a window display at le Ragù & decided to give it a try.
My husband had the Tagliatelle Carbonara & I had the Gnocchi. IT WAS DIVINE! The Tagliatelle was perfectly cooked, the sauce was heavenly & the presentation was pleasing. It was well paired with a private import red wine they had. The Gnocchi was absolutely amazing with sauce & seasoning I had never tasted before. The chef is Italian & the cuisine is authentic. I am craving that gnocchi already & would highly recommend both dishes we tried. The ambiance is lively & we were well served despite being near restaurant's closing time. You can tell that quality matters to them, as well as customer satisfaction. We will be back. Hats off to the chef & staff!

Ordered & received food in 10 mins. Service was great. Huge food hall with good vibes. Definitely hand made pasta. Personal preference for more sauce but I think it was cooked as they intended it to be.

I was really looking forward to trying the Tartaglia Bolognese with four meatballs at Ragu, located in the Central food court. After waiting over 40 minutes for my order, I expected something truly impressive-especially at a price of $45. Unfortunately, the dish didn't live up to the wait or the cost.

The pasta itself was okay, & the flavor of the sauce was decent, but it was extremely watery, which took away from the overall experience. For the price & the long wait, it just wasn't worth it. I wanted to give it a fair shot & was hoping for the best, but I won't be returning. The taste was fine, but not at a level that justifies the cost or the delay.
