BRING THE PUMPKIN ONES BACK! (Yes I would love to know what happened)
The others are good too (vegetarian) . The service was good & it's always a very inviting environment. Go to spot for dumplings in mtl. Even when there's a lot of people service is usually fast.

View more
I used to frequent their Lincoln Street spot near Concordia-always my go-to for meals with friends, & it never disappointed. Even with new competitors, no other dumpling place matches their quality & taste. Fried or steamed, everything's excellent-especially the lamb & coriander, pork-leek-shrimp, & even the tofu. The Chinatown location has a great vibe & faster service than ever. Wishing them continued success!View more
Restaurant propre, personnel souriant & sympathique, service super rapide, nous avons essayé les dumpling boeuf & coriandre ( vapeur ) & les dumpling frit porc & kimchi. Tout était frais & délicieux.View more
🥢 Restaurante chino tradicional.
🥟 Pedí si podían darme media porción de dumplings al vapor de la selección del chef y me dijeron que no había problema.
😋 Estaban todos muy ricos.View more
View more
Totally authentic dumplings. Super thin skin, loaded with juicy, soupy fillings. Great value for a very satisfying meal.View more
The place is packed with lunch hour crowd from nearby offices.
Their dumplings also tastes nice.View more
Pour moi les meilleurs dumpling de Montréal. Toujours un régal. Je recommande ceux à la coriandre & au porc. Également porc sucré.View more
Simple & functional place. No cozy seating. Service was okay. The dumplings varied in quality, but I liked the surprise offer.
Qing Hua is very cheap compared to what you are getting.View more
Excellent dumplings! The service was great, we didn't have to wait long for our food. Will visit again when visiting Montreal.View more
I worked at this restaurant for over a year & half, & my experience was quite disappointing. I believe it's important to share the serious hygiene & operational issues that I encountered during my time here.
One of the most concerning aspects is the restaurant's lack of attention to cleanliness & food safety. I personally saw rats, cockroaches, ants, & flies, which creates an unhealthy environment for both employees & customers. This level of neglect impacts the dining experience & raises major health concerns, & they were reported & had health inspections during the time I was here.
The cleanliness of the kitchen & dining areas also raises serious concerns. I have seen food mishandled, including dumplings that were dropped on the floor, wiped & then steamed again for customers. Moldy steamer trays are kept in use because the owner doesn't want to get it replaced, & teapots are merely rinsed rather than thoroughly cleaned. After customers leave, the water in glass bottles is not emptied before being reused, meaning that the next table drinks water that was originally used by someone else. I had also occurred once that the customer found out that the dumplings had a steamed cockroach in their plate. Sometimes there would be cockroaches just casually crawling across the dining table.
Side dishes are stored in cheap plastic containers, which raises concerns about potential microplastic ingestion, even the wonton soup is microwaved. The lack of proper cleaning & sanitation extends to the steam trays, which are only lightly rinsed just with water by waitresses & waiters, as I was stopped a few times that I wanted to wash them with dish soap. As a result, the first customers of the day may receive food prepared in clean trays, but subsequent customers are served from trays that have only been hastily rinsed.
In addition, the management/HR practices are non existent. The manager plays favorites & the shift allocation was unpredictable. Employees received fewer shifts & by giving minimal or zero shifts so that leads them to quit by their own eventually. This creates an unstable work environment with little job security. I also once witnessed the manager using a waitress's phone to leave a fake 5-star review for the restaurant, which is highly unethical & misrepresents the true customer experience.
The workload itself is overwhelming, with staff expected to do everything-ranging from taking orders & serving food to preparing side dishes, cleaning tables, & washing steam trays & beer glasses, assigning seats, prepare takeout orders, making customers pay, counting the cash by the end of the shift, yet we are paid 12.6 dollars per hour. Additionally, waitresses & waiters do not receive 100 percent of the tips.
The combination of poor management, unclean facilities, & unsanitary practices makes this restaurant a place I cannot recommend for either employment or dining.View more
Dumplings require a hole technique & it took me a while to stop messing around (a lot). The shrimp dumpling was pretty good.View more
Pretty tasty, one of my favorite place for dumplings. Well located for a date near the old port.View more

Great experience! The dumplings were delicious!! There were so many different flavors to choose from. Highly recommend the pickled cucumbers!!View more
We chose some dumplings that we knew we would enjoy & also went for the chef's surprise, which consisted of 15 dumplings in 5 different varieties. In my opinion, the dumplings from that were pretty hit or miss, so I recommend sticking to ones you know you'll like.View more

As a self-proclaimed dumpling aficionado, I couldn't resist stopping by Qing Hua Dumpling in Chinatown Montreal for dinner. Known for their fresh dumplings made to order, this spot is a go-to for many, & I finally had the chance to see what the hype was all about. We ordered the Chef's Special Dumplings & the classic Shrimp, Pork, & Chive Dumplings. Let me start with the standout: the shrimp dumplings. These were everything I could hope for-plump, juicy, & bursting with flavor. The shrimp & pork combo was perfectly balanced, with the chives adding that subtle aromatic kick. The dumpling skin was the right thickness, holding the filling together without overpowering the bite. Absolute perfection! Now, onto the Chef's Special. Unfortunately, this one didn't live up to the name. While the dumplings were good, they lacked the wow factor I was expecting, especially compared to the shrimp dumplings. The flavors were a bit muted, & I kept wishing for that extra pop that never came. A bonus point? They accept cashless payments, which makes the whole experience more convenient! Pro tip: Stick with the classics here-they're classics for a reason. The shrimp, pork, & chive dumplings are definitely worth the trip. Pair them with their house-made dipping sauce, & you're in for a treat. Overall, Qing Hua Dumpling delivers on quality & freshness, but some dishes shine brighter than others. Highlight: Shrimp, Pork, & Chive Dumplings Would I come back? For those shrimp dumplings? 100% yes!View more
I visited last night with a friend, & the experience was great as usual-I've always loved the dumplings here. However, I woke up around 2 a.m. feeling unwell & ended up vomiting my dinner. I suspect it might have been the beef, so I'll avoid ordering that in the future. Despite this incident, I still love this place & will continue coming back for their amazing dumplingsView more
