Even being a sea food restaurant the steak that i order here is easy one on my top 5 in the world, & I have order steaks all over America including Argentina & Chile which are countries specialized in steaks, all sea food also is a 10 of 10, very recommended place to visit if you are in the Montreal area, the desserts OMG!!!
Super restaurant specialite portugaise. Ils ont de ces crevettes a la sau e piquante ... une tuerie.
Le service était impeccable.
Le mixed grill poisson était top, par contre l'entrecote sa sauce & son accompagnent était trea bon mais la viande pas très tendre

We went to Porto PT last year. This dinner was a treat from a dear friend we caught up with in Montreal. It was very good. The atmosphere was terrific. Going to the toilette is its own adventure. (Stairs)
I give it 3 stars because the classic Portuguese dish was not tasty. Namely rice with seafood. They first brought this dish to me spicy (it's not a spicy dish), then they remade it, but it still wasn't good. I thought the problem was the rice & the sauce. Nevertheless, the homemade sausages were delicious. The cocktails were good, too. The service was excellent.
The food was excellent & so was the service. Very nice, quiet, low-key ambiance for a relaxing & enjoyable dinner with my wife. Thank you! Highly recommended.

Ce restaurant est une véritable perle ! Les calmars grillés sont tout simplement divins : tendres, bien assaisonnés & cuits à la perfection. Chaque bouchée est un régal. & les accras de morue ? Un vrai délice ! Bien croustillants à l'extérieur & fondants à l'intérieur, ils ont un goût authentique qui me fait revenir encore & encore.
Mais ce qui rend l'expérience encore plus agréable, c'est l'ambiance chaleureuse & conviviale du lieu. L'atmosphère est détendue & accueillante, avec une décoration soignée qui crée une ambiance à la fois moderne & cosy. On se sent tout de suite à l'aise.
Le service est irréprochable : le personnel est sympathique, professionnel & toujours prêt à s'assurer que vous passiez un bon moment. C'est un endroit où on se sent bien, & ça fait toute la différence !
Porto Mar, c'est l'endroit parfait pour un repas savoureux, un service de qualité & une ambiance qui vous donne envie de revenir encore & encore. Je recommande vivement !
La nourriture & le service sont excellents. Le demi-poulet, la soupe & le dessert étaient succulents. Je recommande fortement. J'ai été très bien servi. Personnel souriant & attentionné.
C'était ma première visite & ce ne sera pas la dernière. 👌

I want to thank Celine for an amazing 👏 🤩 service tonight! The food was great, as well as the atmosphere in this amazing restaurant! I am glad we found it before leaving Montreal!
Le service était excellent malgré le manque de personnel cette soirée-là. La serveuse connait très bien les vins offerts sur place & elle est parfaitement bilingue. De plus, l'intérieur du restaurant est splendide avec sa décoration ancestrale québécoise bien conservée! La nourriture était excellente! Le seul petit point négatif est qu'il n'y avait pas des grosses portions, mais quand même suffisant pour ne pas avoir faim en quittant! Je dois dire que j'ai été vraiment impressionné par l'ambiance & le charme du restaurant Porto Mar dans le Vieux-Montréal. Dès que vous entrez, vous êtes accueilli par une atmosphère chaleureuse & authentique, avec une décoration qui reflète parfaitement l'histoire & la culture québécoise. C'est un véritable voyage dans le temps qui ajoute une touche unique à l'expérience culinaire. La serveuse qui s'est occupée de nous était non seulement très compétente, mais aussi extrêmement aimable. Elle connaissait parfaitement les vins disponibles & a su nous conseiller avec expertise, ce qui a grandement enrichi notre repas. Sa maîtrise du bilinguisme a également facilité la communication & rendu le service encore plus agréable. Quant à la nourriture, chaque plat était un délice. Les saveurs étaient bien équilibrées & les ingrédients de haute qualité. Bien que les portions n'aient pas été très grandes, elles étaient suffisantes pour nous satisfaire sans nous laisser sur notre faim. Chaque bouchée était un plaisir, & il est clair que beaucoup de soin & d'attention ont été apportés à la préparation des plats. En conclusion, malgré le petit bémol concernant la taille des portions, le restaurant Porto Mar offre une expérience culinaire exceptionnelle avec un service impeccable & une ambiance inégalée. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant à tous ceux qui cherchent à passer une soirée mémorable dans le Vieux-Montréal.
We came off the street & had a delicious meal at this cozy restaurant. I had the cod which was excellent, the two others had the liver & tuna which I heard were tasty also. The space is located in an old, cozy building & our server Serena was super attentive & super friendly.
The food was amazing, & I definitely recommend it for people who want to feel like they're in Portugal. The food feels like you're in a gourmet restaurant even though the food is very cheap for its very high quality. The service is amazing & the workers are very nice. The atmosphere makes it feel like you're actually in Portugal. Overall, this restaurant is incredible & really makes it feel like you're in Portugal.
