Attentive service & incredible & tasty food ! We tried a Portuguese soda pop juice passion fruit & orange & it was so sweet & good. Also we tried the mix grill for meats & it was amazing!!!! The steak was juicy. Also we had their fresh vegetable soup of the day & some salads. Good choice on our end & we found this spot accidentally
The food was good, but what really made the evening was everything else. The service was excellent: the owner & chef came by for a friendly chat, & our server, Jaiden, was kind & attentive without hovering. The atmosphere was relaxed & inviting, with tasteful Portuguese-inspired décor & music that set the tone without overwhelming conversation. We brought our son along & felt completely at ease; the place is family-friendly without being loud or chaotic. It's not overly fancy or pretentious, & the staff treat you like real people, not like you're at a formal banquet. If you're debating where to go for a relaxed family dinner, this spot is a solid choice.
Porto Mar is my home away from home. Not only is the service & ambiance TOP, the chef is a brilliant Saucier & cooks meat & fish to perfection. It's one of the cities' best kept secrets!

We were a party of 3 & ordered different food & drinks but it arrived quickly & was fresh & delicious
Delicious authentic portuguese food with an amazing service staff. The steak & the turbo are to die for! Also very accommodating to celiac patients as many items on the menu are gluten free!

Very old school restaurant with an uninspired menu & relatively small portion. This is sort of a local tourist trap, you can literally go one street up & try 20 much better restaurants at a similar price point. Why my client wanted to go there I have no idea but it was a very disappointing & underwhelming experience. Like eating cafeteria food, served in cafeteria dishes & a crumbling setting that hasn't been renovated in like 40 plus years. Do yourself a favor & just cross the street & go to Gibby's you will thank me for it.

J'ai beaucoup aimé mon expérience. J'y suis allé un vendredi soir & l'ambiance était intime. La nourriture avait un très bon rapport qualité prix & le vin maison était excellent. Merci à notre serveuse pour le chaleureux service.
This was my fourth visit, I come to Montreal once a year with work & always make a point of coming here. The food is amazing & great value & the staff are always so pleasant. This evening Emma waited table & was a delight from start to finish.
