Located in Old Montreal since 2005, Porto Mar is the ideal spot for romantic dinners, business meetings, casual encounters, birthdays and other special events. Our restaurant is located in a beautiful historic building with a unique old world charm.

Our menu offers a variety of traditional Portuguese dishes as well as fresh fish, seafood, steak and a choice of grilled specialties. We also have many gluten free options. The extensive wine list has something for everyone with its large selection of Portuguese wines including many private imports at affordable prices.

Belle ambiance du temps des fêtes un samedi soir de neige dans le Vieux Montréal (a deux pas du musée Pointe-a-Callieres). Bâtiment historique en pierre & éclairage tamisé créé une atmosphère agréable. Repas 3 services pour une trentaine de dollars. Le poisson du jour (morue) cuisson parfaite avec accompagnements de légumes & pommes de terre savoureux. Portions correcte mais aurait mangé un peu plus. Ma conjointe & mon fils trouvaient qu'il manquait un peu de sel dans l'assaisonnement sinon nous avons bien aimé cet endroit.

It wasn't my first time there but it's the first time I walked out disappointed. A clumsy & out of breath waitress, very slow service & ordinary food compared to a few months ago. Super sad, I loved this place

Belle soirée au Portomar ! Nourriture excellente, je vous conseil le Riz aux Fruits de mer & le carré d'agneau. Notre serveuse était très gentille & professionnelle & nous a conseiller un excellent vin pour notre repas.

We had the Table d' Haute menu which offered several excellent choices. The star of my meal was the swordfish entree !! Service was very good too. Would definitely dine here the next time I am in Montreal
