The bar for a meal at an airport is very low, & the Pork & Pickle failed to reach it. If you are in the market for cold fries that are also overcooked somehow, & a vegetarian "Bahn Mi" that had sweet potato fries as the "protein", then this place will scratch that itch for you. I regret not eating at the McDonald's instead.
We had dinner there & had BBQ ribs pork as suggested by server, Hussam. Food was pretty good . I really appreciate Hussam for his excellent customer service & he was very attentive to my food intolerance.
The staff were quite cold. The person who sat us hardly said anything & didn't smile. She just told us to follow her. Then our waitress also didn't even say hi or smile at all. She just stood there waiting for us to tell her what we wanted to drink. My husband told her we had a sleeping baby just to try & make the air lighter & she replied with, "do you want me to not talk?". The food was ok. My sandwich didn't have any sauce (I don't remember if it was supposed to). My husband enjoyed his food though. The food was a bit pricey but that's somewhat expected with airport food.
Breakfast poutine was good. Lots of sauce not much brisket the egg was nice. It could use some lemon in the sauce that I am sure came in powder form. Airport food. Expensive & bland.
I had the most pricy burger & was expecting something good as a burger lover. For my surprise the burger had weird mix of tastes that didnt go together as i expected. Very bold & untasty, dry, reaching top 3 worst burgers i had. Fries were good, ketchup was nice, mayo was weird. Also i expected great pickle's, but no. I ordered cocacola that tasted & smelled like pool water. Good customer service.
It's terrible, the food is bad & the service is slow. This place would never survive outside of the captive market of airport.
The food was okay (other than the fact that the glasses smelled like dish soap), but the service was very bad. It took forever to get my food & even longer to get my check. Management needs to remember that this is an airport restaurant- people aren't here to linger. Have some respect for your customers' time!
