Half the price for a better breakfast. I ordered a breakfast sandwich which had 1 fried egg in it with half of the sandwich covered with ingredients. At $20 for a sandwich & $6 per cup of coffee expect a little more. The service staff seemed nice.
horrible food, I ordered the smoked ribs, it taste like rock, it was extremely dry. Why they have such low standards & at the same time over priced, just go to MacDonald or Tim Hortons it will be way bette
Came to the YUL Pork & Pickle with my partner on our way back home to Toronto. Despite having standard airport prices ($$$), they truly surpassed our expectations. Firstly, our server Ana Teresa was charming & helpful. Also, they had the Winter Olympics playing on the tv which was greatly appreciated, as we are fans of winter sports. We had two draft Molson Canadians each, which were cold, crispy & delicious. We shared the spicy crispy wings which were very tasty, but the star of the show was the Dirty Mac & Cheese. I find restaurant mac & cheeses to be often disappointing, but Pork & Pickle really hit it out of the park with this one. The mac was savoury, with exquisite pulled pork, croutons, & a creamy cheese sauce. We absolutely adored our experience & will be recommending this fine establishment to all YUL travelers.
This place is a bright star at Montreal's airport. It's'airport expensive' indeed, but it's reasonable priced considering the airport itself doesn't have many options in terms of snacks & restaurants. Food is usually above average here, sometimes quite good. They know their craft when it comes to ribs, though. Whenever I'm around, I always get these ribs with beans & fries. Go for it, you won't regret. Service can be difficult when the place is jammed, but they are fast & try their best to look around & see if anyone is in need of anything.
Overpriced typical airport restaurant experience. Food is good enough to fill you up, nothing great. Prices are high.
Amazing spot with two great seating areas! Ambiance is laid back & fun & the folks that work there were awesome. Prices are good in Montreal compared to a lot of my travels, can't wait to visit again.
It was overpriced, as is kind of expected at an airport, but for a sit down restaurant I was hoping for a little better quality food.
I ordered the chicken rice bowl, & they forgot the avocado on top. We asked for some, & someone other than our server brought it for us-without any apologies-wearing a suit. Contrasted with our very friendly server, this felt off.
The dish still tasted good, though the thin piece of chicken should have been bigger (it was about ?-¼ of a chicken breast) especially for the price. We also noticed that the plating was a little messy.
Our service was generally very fast, especially as our server seemed to have four tables all come around the same time! That is not easy. The restaurant was mostly full when we were eating.
Took the brisket, it's ok, not more, definitely not worth the price. My girlfriend took a burger, just ok. The sides (cheesy fries & greens) were just sad! Service was ok, but minimum tipping option was 18%. I would have gave 18-20, but any place that doesn't even present the minimum of 15% as an option doesn't deserve my business.
Ordered lunch to go at the bar. Restaurant was packed but I was able to get my meal in less than 10 mins. The smoked chicken was a little dry & too smokey, but otherwise I enjoyed the sausage & all my sides. For $35, I felt it was a fair price considering the price of food at quick service stations or on the plane. I had enough for two meals on my flights home.
Had a couple hours to waste at the Montreal airport & decided to finally give this spot a try. The tables & spacing is good for the massive amount of space they have, & when I went there it wasn't that busy so did not have people close to my table. The server that attended to me was amazing! Made sure my beer was always full & my order was taken right away. They have a good selection of domestic & imported beers on tap. I personally love local craft beer which they had a couple of on tap. I ordered the smoked bacon chicken club with fries, & do they ever pile the fries. It came with ketchup & horseradish dip which was amazing with the crispy fries. The club was delicious with perfect amount of toppings & flavour. Price was typical for airport restaurant ($60 for food & 2 beers not including tip). Overall the Pork & Pickle restaurant was overdue for me to try & did not disappoint. Highly recommend!
It's airport food, so not expecting great, but this place wasn't bad. Limited options in the airport so it's nice seeing a place offer a decent variety. I enjoyed my meal, just wished the portion would have reflected the price.
The service was decent. Beside the waitress seating us that seemed a bit uninterested, the waiter serving us was wearing a smile & he was quite polite too. The food itself was tasty. I really liked the smokey flavour of the meat, it paired so well with their BBQ sauce. The meat was also falling right off the bone which was great & made eating their meal a lot less messy. You also get to pick 2 sides with the main course which ended being a salad & a coleslaw for me & I was a bit disappointed in those because it tasted a bit bitter. The place is pretty big & there's a great amount of space in between the table so it makes the dining experience less cramped & more comfortable. I did however not really enjoy the high chairs & tables because it doesn't feel quite comfortable eating in them. Finally, I do find the price a bit expensive. Most meals are about 28-30$, the chicken & sausage I had was around 29$ before tax & tips. The portion is pretty big though so it does make up for the price somewhat.
The staff were quite cold. The person who sat us hardly said anything & didn't smile. She just told us to follow her. Then our waitress also didn't even say hi or smile at all. She just stood there waiting for us to tell her what we wanted to drink. My husband told her we had a sleeping baby just to try & make the air lighter & she replied with, "do you want me to not talk?". The food was ok. My sandwich didn't have any sauce (I don't remember if it was supposed to). My husband enjoyed his food though. The food was a bit pricey but that's somewhat expected with airport food.
Had a plate of poutine & a coke during my layover. My photo does it no justice, but it *was* delicious. Bit pricey, but, it's an airport restaurant, so nothing unexpected there. But was nice to have some good poutine at the source, here in Quebec 😁
Price is what brings this rating down. I know airports are expensive. I know sit down restaurants at airports are worse, but damn 70 bucks for a sandwich, & two bowls of soup is crazy! I had two sodas & tipped as well, but that is a crazy amount. The food tasted great. The service was fantastic. But it is expensive. They were also VERY fast. Like we ate in under thirty minutes at a sit down restaurant. Our waitress even asked if we had a flight to catch!
A really nice smoke house in the airport. There is a great pub like feel to the place & there is a great selection of delicious meals to choose from & the prices are fairly reasonable.
I went in for lunch. The service is excellent, but I ordered the Club Sandwich. The meat was extremely dry & difficult to swallow. The fries were nice & hot & a big portion. The menu is relatively small & the prices are a bit high, but it is the airport. They should have more small plates as the sandwich & fries were a bit too much for me.
Great spot for casual dining & great prices. For an airport restaurant this location hits the spot. Pub food, great drinks & service was very fast! Would definitely visit again!
