Pork & Pickle is a popular destination at the Montreal Airport, frequently praised for its vibrant atmosphere, welcoming staff, and generally high-quality food. Many travelers highlight the brisket, pulled pork, and various burger options as delicious, quick, and satisfying choices for a pre-flight meal. The restaurant is often noted for its efficient service and friendly, engaging team members who work hard to ensure guests have a relaxed and enjoyable experience during their layovers. While prices reflect typical airport standards and opinions on specific dishes can vary, many diners appreciate the convenience, the selection of beverages, and the consistent effort to provide a superior alternative to standard terminal dining.
Had the brisket. They topped it with a sauce, not a good sign with me as it's an indicator that it's dry, & i wasn't wrong… it was dry. Lost more points on the service. My 16 year travel buddy, paid in cash, & received change but the server looked pretty annoyed & told him'service is not included'. Heck, i'm all for tipping but tipping culture is getting ridiculous especially when they servers are paid. Tip is for good/exceptional service. Service was NOTHING SPECTACULAR, other than she was friendly until the end. & calling out a 16 year old that'service isn't included' is just pathetic. Pork & Pickle, consider adding a service charge to the bill instead of berating your customers for tips.
I have a connection flight in the Montreal airport, so I decided to grab something to eat & a friend recommended me Pork & Pickle, I have to be honest the food was really good & I enjoyed it; the service was good, not bad but not excellent. When it was time to pay it came the moment to tip, to be honest I came on a budget & I was already expending $21 on the poutine, but the service wasn't bad & I also work in the tip system so in my possibilities I put $1 (I know not much but I prefer it than nothing) when the waitress saw it she asked me if I made a mistake, I got confused, so I told her in a nice (& ashamed way) that it wasn't & I apologize, she got angry so I just walked away.
After having a good meal, I end up my experience feeling bad, I also work earning tips, but I have never made any one feel ashamed for what they have gave me. Not sure want the circumstances were in her situation but I really don't think it was fai
We went to the Pork & Pickle restaurant located on the Canadian side of the airport in Montreal. This a great restaurant for an airport restaurant. I had the bahn mi pulled pork & my husband & daughter had the classic pulled pork, they were really good. The MADRÍ beer was exceptional. The servers were kind & welcoming. Me & my husband thought the pickles were also delicious. The atmosphere was very like a bar but was still kid-friendly. Overall a pretty awesome restaurant!
Food looks great, tastes bad. Service is really, really slow. Crazily expensive, even though I've had better Caesars at drive bars & better poutine at fast food places. Nice view. 100% don't recommend
It was overpriced, as is kind of expected at an airport, but for a sit down restaurant I was hoping for a little better quality food.
I ordered the chicken rice bowl, & they forgot the avocado on top. We asked for some, & someone other than our server brought it for us-without any apologies-wearing a suit. Contrasted with our very friendly server, this felt off.
The dish still tasted good, though the thin piece of chicken should have been bigger (it was about ?-¼ of a chicken breast) especially for the price. We also noticed that the plating was a little messy.
Our service was generally very fast, especially as our server seemed to have four tables all come around the same time! That is not easy. The restaurant was mostly full when we were eating.
Took the brisket, it's ok, not more, definitely not worth the price. My girlfriend took a burger, just ok. The sides (cheesy fries & greens) were just sad! Service was ok, but minimum tipping option was 18%. I would have gave 18-20, but any place that doesn't even present the minimum of 15% as an option doesn't deserve my business.
