Amazing.
I went to the restaurant because I was waiting for my flight connection & I was checking any good beef option, The food was amazing & Fast service. It's a good option in The Montreal Airport.
I have a connection flight in the Montreal airport, so I decided to grab something to eat & a friend recommended me Pork & Pickle, I have to be honest the food was really good & I enjoyed it; the service was good, not bad but not excellent. When it was time to pay it came the moment to tip, to be honest I came on a budget & I was already expending $21 on the poutine, but the service wasn't bad & I also work in the tip system so in my possibilities I put $1 (I know not much but I prefer it than nothing) when the waitress saw it she asked me if I made a mistake, I got confused, so I told her in a nice (& ashamed way) that it wasn't & I apologize, she got angry so I just walked away.
After having a good meal, I end up my experience feeling bad, I also work earning tips, but I have never made any one feel ashamed for what they have gave me. Not sure want the circumstances were in her situation but I really don't think it was fai
I ordered the Smokehouse Burger - the serving & taste were good! However, I didn't enjoy the fries as they were a bit bland & soggy. The server was friendly & attentive, which I appreciated. I did notice that the table hadn't been properly wiped down. Overall, I enjoyed my meal while waiting for my flight. ✈?🧳🛫
The smoked brisket was good, a tiny bit on the salty side, but for airport food & portion it was decent. The host/manager was really nice; however the server was rude.
I had come to eat with a friend who already had a takeout container of food & before we were seated, I double checked with the host that it was okay for my friend to sit & eat with me in the restaurant. He said it was okay because I would be ordering. The server came up to kick us out when she saw my friend eating when I explained how the host had said it was fine for us to have outside food as i would be ordering, she took my order. Things took a turn when she was putting down my food & especially when she was taking away my plate. She snatched it away & didn't ask if I wanted anything else or if I was ready for the bill. She came back with the bill immediately which was fine as I was ready to leave but it was unreasonably rude. I could tell she did not like us because she treated the couple that was seated next to us super nicely, wished them to have a good flight etc. maybe it's because we looked younger or maybe it's because we aren't Caucasian 🤷🏻?♀?
Went here yesterday in between flights & got the brisket poutine. Food was very good, service was quick & I was happy to be mainly left alone by the server. Would come here again.
Arguably one of the nicest servers I've ever had, George brought his A game even at the killer time of 5:30 in the morning. My crew & I were way beyond tired & ready to go home, & yet he brought our spirits up through his authentic & helpful energy. Everything he did & said for us was so far in our best interest, he was awesome! The food was also so delicious, it was exactly what I needed before a long flight home.
Ordered lunch to go at the bar. Restaurant was packed but I was able to get my meal in less than 10 mins. The smoked chicken was a little dry & too smokey, but otherwise I enjoyed the sausage & all my sides. For $35, I felt it was a fair price considering the price of food at quick service stations or on the plane. I had enough for two meals on my flights home.
