Review Summary

POMADATA Cuisine Afro Fusion & Lounge is described as delivering authentic Nigerian and West African dishes with flavors that feel like home, including Amala with ewedu and gbegiri, egusi, fufu, and jollof rice, with many mentioning generous portions and appealing presentation. Customers praise the welcoming and attentive service, fast and friendly staff, and a clean, conducive atmosphere with vibes that enhance the dining experience. While overall praised for the food and hospitality, some reviews note higher prices for the Canadian market, occasional service charges, and value concerns when ordering takeout or without protein. Several diners highlight versatile options such as vegan choices and accommodating dietary requests, and many say the flavors evoke home cooking and encourage repeat visits, especially for those seeking authentic West African cuisine in Montreal or nearby areas. A few mentions of issues include the smell in the dining area on one visit and some spice levels not being as bold as expected, but the consensus remains that the food tastes great and the experience is worth it.

I was quite disappointed. I have heard good reviews about this restaurant. But unfortunately, I tried this food out today. It lacked Flavour & seasoning. The pepper sauce was not even spicy. The fish tasted like fish with no seasoning. The beef tasted like beef with no flavor. The rice was mid . The worst part was the price ! I spent $52 on mid food ! Nigerian people need to do better, why am I paying for one plate of food $52. I don't know what's going on? but there's an epidemic in regards to food prices. At least if you're going to charge me these prices, give me quality food. Honestly, the food tasted like whoever cooked it was not in the mood to cook. My Nigerian people please do better!

I haven't done a review in years but I have to drop this one. Aside from the food tasting good, it's mad expensive for nothing.
I ordered take out for two & spent 108 dollars?!
They sell the rice & soup with out protein which makes it more expensive, this is the only place I know that does this & on top of that they add a 10% service charge to the bill. The place also had a very bad smell which is why I didn't have time to tell them how outrageous the price was as I hurried out.

The ambience was lovely. Food taste great. Portion can be eaten twice. Lovely environment. Very affordable. There is no delivery though. It was a great experience. We had abula, white rice & stew, & suya turkey. The pepper was too much for my husband's taste buds but the turkey was tasty.

I had to edit this review. The Bitter leaf soup is a banga. My God! There is no way to describe it. Taste it for yourself. I also ordered the Nkwobi. I have not tasted it but from all the things we have eaten, I know that would be great also.

Ordered the egusi & pounded yam . Meat was content & pounded yam potion good. The only thing is the soup was not spicy enough. Same with the fried rice & jollof I ordered on the side. The peppered Pomo & snail were not spicy either. Recommend more spicy . Aside from that food was goood but better with peppe
