Review Summary

POMADATA Cuisine Afro Fusion & Lounge is described as delivering authentic Nigerian and West African dishes with flavors that feel like home, including Amala with ewedu and gbegiri, egusi, fufu, and jollof rice, with many mentioning generous portions and appealing presentation. Customers praise the welcoming and attentive service, fast and friendly staff, and a clean, conducive atmosphere with vibes that enhance the dining experience. While overall praised for the food and hospitality, some reviews note higher prices for the Canadian market, occasional service charges, and value concerns when ordering takeout or without protein. Several diners highlight versatile options such as vegan choices and accommodating dietary requests, and many say the flavors evoke home cooking and encourage repeat visits, especially for those seeking authentic West African cuisine in Montreal or nearby areas. A few mentions of issues include the smell in the dining area on one visit and some spice levels not being as bold as expected, but the consensus remains that the food tastes great and the experience is worth it.

I had a wonderful time here. I came to Montreal for a conference but my most memorable here in Montreal is coming here to eat! I tried all the delicacies & they were all great! My first choice is surely the Amala, Ewedu & Gbegiri, So on point!
I recommend this spot if you are African, Nigerian or you just want to try African Recipes!

I'm from Toronto, & I've had African food there, several times. This is probably one of the best places in Montreal or between the two cities where you can eat African food.

The fufu is fresh & well-made. I got the soup with 2 pieces of protein & there was enough there for 2 balls of fufu. African food doesn't have to have immense portions for you to enjoy it, & I am still Very full.

Try this place out, they're open til 10 on Saturdays & the service was Super fast.

I loved eating here. Visited Montreal for a week & I literally ate here almost every day.

The food was tasty, good quantity & as I type this review, I am having brunch at their restaurant before heading to the airport.

People complain about the pricing but I think I understand that African food stuff are quite expensive here in Canada.

Overall it's a 10/10 for me!
