Al Rayan Poissonnerie & Restaurant offers casual dining with a Middle Eastern feeling. Enjoy a deliciously fresh meal; nothing at our restaurant is pre-made. Enjoy our friendly service while chefs prepare the fresh seafood you select from the wide selection of fresh fish and shellfish lining the bar. The service is prompt and convivial. Head to the seafood bar to handpick your dinner. A wide selection of Shrimps, calamari, whole fish or shellfish are offered by the kilo, and you only need to decide how you would like them prepared: grilled, sautéed, or fried. There are several gourmet sauces to choose from, as well as traditional ones like tahini and baba ghanoush.

Review Summary

Overall, Poissonnerie Rayan is described as a seafood-focused spot with fresh catches and a warm, family-like atmosphere that many regulars appreciate, though experiences vary by visit. Diners praise the quality of fish and shellfish and note menu variety and tasty dishes, with standout items mentioned like octopus and popcorn shrimp. However, several comments mention service tensions and professionalism concerns, occasional cold dining conditions with doors left open, and inconsistent attention from staff, including long lines for ordering and limited drink service. Ramadan timing and location changes are noted as impacting service and some visits are criticized for value versus price. Despite the negatives, loyalty remains and many reviews praise the seafood quality and overall experience, while others caution about reliability and value.

I loved all their food, especially the octopus

Service, cleanliness & ambience were all great. Food was nice, my only comment is that the grilled octopus needed to be well cooked, as big pieces were chewy, while the smaller ones were fine. Aside from that even the food presentation was top

I'm used to going to Rayan on Côte-des-Neiges but this one is very different !It is stilll the same amazing & fresh seafood, but with a new modern & clean look, comfortable seats, & warm ambiance! I highly recommend trying the garlic shrimps, potatoes, the salads & of course, the octopus & calamari !

A little brunch at the fish market: potatoes, calamari, octopus, mussels, king prawns, & stingray. Who needs eggs & bacon when you can have an ocean feast? 🦑🐟🍤 😬#BrunchGoals #SeafoodDelight

Great seafood selection & super fresh. This is probably one of the best Rayans I've been to. I had scallops, fish, octopus, shrimp & calamari with rice & salad. Price was very reasonable. Highly recommended
