Entrée & plat top, j'ai beaucoup aimé la soupe à l'oignon, le poisson & le canard ! Crème caramel décevante par contre. J'aurais dû prendre la crème brûlée.
Great experience at Place Carmin. I am stickler for good service & they hit the mark. I appreciated them taking care of my coat coming in & out of the restaurant, something you don't see anymore. Waiter was very attentive to our needs & knows the menu well. Loved the decor of the restaurant but some section of the restaurant feels a bit cramped between tables. I would skip the canapes & share an entree if needed. Prices were appropriate. The food taste great, though I felt like maybe it was just a tad salty. Paris Brest was amazing. Didn't feel like I was getting ripped off compared to many restaurants in Montreal nowadays even though it is not cheap. You should try it out if you want to experience something different

Great place for a romantic dinner! The service was exceptional, waiters checked in on us multiple times throughout our dinner. The food was amazing. Recommend the onion soup, cavatelli & sea bream. To finish off we had the crème caramel which was delicious. The bread basket was quite small but they'll bring you more if you ask for it. 10/10 recommend.
Amazing food! Especially the starters. The sweetbreads starter is such an experience, comforting, filling & warming. Definitely must try. Another starter we loved are the beets. Everything on the plate came together so well & the taste was amazing. The staff was very friendly & we loved the ambience. The place was very clean. We liked the meat too but would have gone for more cooked. I would say the meat is pretty good on its own & doesn't need the 3 sauces they serve with it. Overall we had a very nice date night, thank you!

Excellent service, friendly, efficient & attentive. Had a three course meal in under an hour. Beef tartare was delicious, a little salty but still great. Cavatelli was alright, felt like something was missing. I only later realized that according to the menu there was supposed to be pancetta which would have definitely increased the flavour, but was forgotten. Paris Brest was fantastic, creative mix of flavours & textures, best I've ever had. Decor is cute, simple French cafe style & music. Beau plus tard was a very well crafted cocktail. Like the individual washrooms but there weren't locks?
Came for drinks & appetizers. Cocktails were very good, though not amazing. Need tartare was excellent, but the portion was a bit stingy for the price. The decor is sleek & modern, but a little spartan.
Place Carmin was a wonderful introduction to French fine dining. The foie gras & the berry compote wonderfully complemented each other - do ask for an extra basket of bread, you will need it (also their butter is divine). The duck l'orange was tender & perfectly cooked with a tangy, orangy glaze. The chocolate tart was wonderfully decadent. The portions are appropriate for the price range.

I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Place Carmin. The impeccable wait staff were not only friendly but also added to the overall ambiance, making the evening truly enjoyable. The food was simply delicious, & the beautiful restaurant decor added to the overall charm. I can't wait to return!

Great food. Mushroom soup was amazing. I tried the orange duck, full of soya sauce that totally covered the flavor, didn't really taste the orange. Overall, really good experience.
A1 dinner, really nothing to say. Service was immaculate & all the dishes were really good. On top of the restaurants I've been to in Montreal! Amex card accepted
