Some of the worst coffee I've had in a restaurant. It was somehow both sour & very bitter at the same time (coffee nerd). I wasn't able to drink it.
The scrambled eggs I think could have been good. The truffle seemed hidden & the cold soft cheese really threw off the temperature as it wasn't cooled with the eggs. I'm also a fan of soft cooked scrambled eggs but something seemed off to me.
I had high hopes for this meal but was disappointed.
The restaurant is very beautiful & I did have excellent service so no complaints there.
Trevor was a great server & the gin martini was on point. Food was delicious. Scallop ceviche, deviled eggs, leek puff pastry, & the cod are all great. Peach crepe for dessert. The facade of the restaurant is equally as beautiful as the interior.
Seeiously, Place Carmin is something special. From the minute you walk in the door you are taken care of & the ambiance is set by the beautifully minimalist but elegant atmosphere. Despite there being several tables in the room, we felt like we were the only people there because of how amazing the service was!
Beyond service, the food was an absolute culinary delight. We kept raving about each dish & left with full bellies & full hearts. Honestly, not a bad sip or bite the entire night.

Beautiful restaurant with an amazing menu. One of many meals my fiancée & I had while roadtripping through Canada & the best dish during the trip was the canard a l'orange here! That being said, everything was delicious from the canapés to the oysters to the escargot on bone marrow to the veal steak & shrimp surf n turf. Our server was excellent & the bar even made me a delicious freshly brewed lemon iced tea as I don't drink. Also dessert was heavenly.
Where do I start? The food was creative, so incredibly good, high-quality, & unlike anything I've had before. The service was so polite & professional, & frankly patient with my party. I really appreciate how accommodating the staff was. The cocktail menu was excellent- a lot of cool & interesting drinks that I've never seen an iteration of on any other menu. Try the fig/raisin/yogurt drink, I forget the exact name. The space is beautifully appointed, modern, & super clean. All the trappings of a white table restaurant with none of the stuffiness. I cannot wait to return. This was the highlight of our long weekend trip. Thank you so much to the staff, see you soon!
Went to Place Carmin for the first time today & it was an amazing experience! Every meal was delicious, especially the beet salad & the duck à l'orange, the service was amazing & the decor was beautiful. I'd recommend to anybody!

FABULOUS!!! My husband & I had a lovely dining experience here on Saturday night. We had a lovely greeting as soon as we walked in, were seated towards the front of the main dining room, & was immediately greeted by our lovely waitress. She was personable, professional, & personable & really added to the wonderful experience! The restaurant has super high ceilings, a bar towards the back, outdoor dining (not open yet), & has a cool, light, airy vibe. We ordered cocktails which the bartender brought to our table, veal tartare canape, beef tartare app, the duck & sea bream, plus profiterol & crepe Suzette. Everything was superb, divinely French, beautifully plated, beautifully presented by the runners, perfectly flavored, & delicious at every bite. We are VERY happy with this neighborhood gem & look forward to going back. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Beautiful space, attentive & professional service, & excellent food. Our experience would have been perfect had it not been for the obnoxious table next to us.

Place Carmin is a hidden gem! From starters to dessert our food tasted amazing. There were so many thoughtful touches on each plate as well as being beautifully plated. The wait staff are super friendly & accommodating. We will definitely be back!! Thank you
A beautiful spot for a business dinner, the quality & variety of dishes were extremely high. I went through plate after plate of the octopus salad as my compatriots did not adequately appreciate it - more for me! The steak was also cooked to perfection, & I loved the whimsical canapés which kicked off the meal. Quite generous with the house wine as well, I would love to come back anytime.
Beautiful & stylist place for meat lovers, amazing steaks with different choices of sides dishes & choice of sauce to go with the steak. My favorite are the shrimp cocktails, a steak served with asparagus, bearnaise or pepercorn sauce crispy french fries
The food is FANTASTIC! & the staff are so lovely; attentive, but not hovering, helpful in making suggestions & genuinely friendly - you can tell how much they like what they do. I had the pasta & it was creamy & delicious. My only quibble is that the wine list skews too heavily toward French wines. We have many amazing wineries across Canada producing beautiful & complex wines that deserve a place at the table.
I had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Place Carmin. The impeccable wait staff were not only friendly but also added to the overall ambiance, making the evening truly enjoyable. The food was simply delicious, & the beautiful restaurant decor added to the overall charm. I can't wait to return!
