Les barbecues familiaux ont toujours été le point culminant de chaque été, cuisiner de la bonne nourriture et créer des souvenirs avec nos amis et notre famille sont les moments que nous recherchons avec enthousiasme ! Avec tout le plaisir, nous redoutions de dire au revoir à la fin de la soirée. Une fois la pandémie arrivée, nous n'avons plus pu profiter de la compagnie les uns des autres. Au lieu de nos réunions traditionnelles, nous envoyions de la nourriture et des colis de soins à nos proches pour leur faire savoir que tout irait bien. Après les excellents commentaires de notre famille, l'idée de Pimento's est née !
Pimento's Cuisine des Caraibes ressort dans les avis comme une adresse où le poulet jerk est la vedette et où le riz et pois, les fish cakes et les patties accompagnent bien les plats; les portions généreuses et le bon rapport qualité-prix reviennent souvent, même si certains trouvent les prix un peu élevés et regrettent le retour des oxtails. Le service est chaleureux et rapide et l'ambiance est accueillante, avec une cuisine ouverte qui donne confiance, même si quelques plats peuvent être secs et des accompagnements manquent parfois de saveur. La variété du menu est largement appréciée, avec des options comme le jerk saumon ou le jerk halal, et l'expérience est surtout take-out, notamment à Laval, où l'établissement est décrit comme fiable, propre et digne d'être revisité pour tester d'autres propositions, tout en notant l'absence de salle à manger sur place et quelques détails pratiques comme une porte difficile à ouvrir.
We purchased two Jerk chicken meals for takeout. The chicken was delicious , well seasoned & juicy however the coleslaw had an odor (similar to when food is left out for several days ) Not sure if its because we ordered closer to closing time because Ive never had any issues with previous meals.
How do you forget to put ANY jerk sauce on a jerk chicken plate ? There was no bite,kick or heat at all in the chicken 😂 The place was not busy at all when I placed my order... Absurd. & portion was feeble.

Amazing jerk chicken & really great service. I do find the prices a bit on the high side compared to other Caribbean spots but the food is definitely tasty. I'd also love to see the oxtails come back even just once a week would be great !
I have been wanting to try this place for a while & finally got my chance. We ordered takeout from Laval location & the service was great, friendly & quick! The restaurant was clean & welcoming (except the door was so hard to open). We ordered fishcakes & the regular jerk chicken plate. The fish cakes were really good, just a bit small from what I am used to when ordering. The jerk chicken was ok, not bad but not amazing. It was a bit dry, like it was from the beginning of the day (we ordered around 7pm on a Saturday). I loved the rice & peas, was delicious. I did not like the side coleslaw or whatever it was, at all. It had no taste & lacked seasoning. The portions sizes were great & a regular is more than enough for one person. I may try this place again but order something else because I truly was disappointed with the food.
Wow!!! I came in with high expectations & the staff certainly delivered. Picked up a regular plate of fried chicken & a regular plate of jerk chicken. The taste of the island definitely shines through these dishes, the meat was juicy & we'll seasoned. The fixings really complement the protein, both the coleslaw & macaroni salad were bright & zesty. I also got myself two Jamaican patties, a must have when you go there, just the perfect amount of heat wrapped in the flakiest of crust, legit!!! The staff is welcoming & you can even have a peak at them in the back while ordering. This should become a Laval institution fairly quickly, go there & support!!!

It was my first time trying Jamaican cuisine & the food was absolutely immaculate ! I had the halal jerk chicken, & it was incredible , tender, flavorful, & seasoned to perfection. My husband & I drive 45 minutes from Montréal every time, & this was already my second visit, because it's truly worth it. The atmosphere is warm & welcoming, & the lady who served us is one of the kindest ! So patient, friendly, & attentive.We'll definitely keep coming back
Pimentos never disappoints! I used to love their location in DDO, but I'm so happy they opened their Laval spot, the space is bigger, & the vibe is amazing. The owner is incredible, & the service always feels warm & genuine.
The food? On point every single time. I'm a huge fan of their barbecue jerk chicken, but lately I've been hooked on their regular fried chicken, super crispy on the outside & tender on the inside. The seasoning is perfect, & their fish cakes are honestly a must-try. Even the sides are unique & give the whole plate an extra kick.

First time there, definitely not the last. The staff are very friendly & welcoming. & the best part is the food. I ordered the bbq jerk chicken. A perfect blend of smokey taste & jerk spices. If you want a taste of the Caribbean I highly suggest this place. Can't wait to try the other dishes.
I love this place❤? i used to go to the one in DDO but this one is even closer to my house always so tastyyy & good i order to pickup i arrive everything is ready, portions are huge( i took large) it usually fills me up for the whole day i eat half for lunch half for diner & thats a day of eating . ( i recommend their bbq fried chicken, fish cakes & plantains : my order)
So far I've tried their fried chicken, jerk chicken & goat, everything was delicious & fresh. My brother ordered the jerk salmon & loved it. The portion size is healthy, you'll need a nap afterwards lol I'm so glad they opened a location in Laval. Highly recommend!
