Pimento's Cuisine des Caraibes Dollard-des-Ormeaux Restaurant: Menu, Reviews & Reserve (2026)

Family BBQ’s have always been the highlight of every summer, cooking good food and creating memories with our friends and family are the moments that we thrive for! With all the fun, we dreaded saying goodbye at the end of the night. Once the pandemic hit, we were no longer able to enjoy eachother’s company. Instead of our traditional gatherings, we would send food and care packages to our love ones to let them know that everything will be okay.. After the great feedback from our family, the idea for Pimento’s was born!

Review Summary

Overall, reviews describe a bold, home-style Caribbean kitchen known for generous portions and a wide range of flavors, with standout items like jerk chicken, curry goat, patties, fish cakes, plantains, and festivals, all praised for freshness and richly seasoned profiles and some diners noting a halal option. The vibe is described as welcoming and consistently friendly service, with fast takeout and attentive staff, though a few comments point to occasional slower moments, limited seating, and hours that can make it hard to visit. Taking value into account, portions are large and often considered worth the price, while some critics cite room for improvement on sides like rice or sauce portions and a few inconsistent experiences. Across locations, the restaurant is frequently hailed as a top Caribbean option in Montreal, a favorite for jerk lovers, and a place many plan to return to, reinforcing a sense of authentic flavors that feel like home cooking even for visitors.

Incredible & authentic flavours! As a first generation Jamaican-Canadian I am so impressed. So delicious, packaged with care, amazing portions for the price. I'm 10000% satisfied & will definitely be ordering again! Made my weekend! The chicken was so tender & well cooked, fishcakes full of flavou

Yo, this spot is reaaaal badmon! 🔥 I had the jerk salmon & my girl got the ½ BBQ chicken / ½ jerk chicken, & everything was BUSSIN'. The salmon was soft & juicy, perfectly seasoned. The chicken? Tender, flavorful, smoky - exactly how it's supposed to be.

The rice & peas were soft, the coleslaw fresh & crispy, & the macaroni was bussin' for real. Even the dumplings hit the sweet spot - not too sweet, not too dry. Every single component of the plate was on point.

Customer service was A1 - friendly, fast, & full of good vibes. Pimentos really brings that authentic Jamaican flavor with Montreal flair. 10/10 - will definitely be back. 🇯🇲🔥

Very mid Jamaican food. The chicken was cooked well. The plantain & coleslaw were very good. The jerk sauce is disappointing. No heat, it tastes like something you would buy out of a glass jar at the grocery store. The rice was bland & the festival was tasteless & dense. The patties were average at best. Jamaican food for white people.

The vibe inside seemed off. Employees were bickering with each other. I came to pick up an order & could recite who it was for & what was included but they made me contact my wife who ordered it to send me a screenshot of the receipt. Did not get a friendly vibe from the place at all, everyone in there seemed miserable.

Food is decent for a Jamaican restaurant in Montreal. Don't really have too many complaints. The food comes with a nice assortment of sides in the combo. I did ask for curry goat gravy for the rice & they gave me some in a little cup. It was pretty laughable how little gravy they give you. It wasn't even equivalent to a regular spoonful you'd find at your typical Caribbean restaurant. The festivals were my favorite item, very delicious! But overall very good value for your money.

My husband & I recently ordered a small jerk chicken plate with oxtail gravy on the side. We've tried many Jamaican spots around Montreal, & this one really nailed the flavours. The jerk chicken was smoky (down to the bone!!!) & packed with authentic spices (& so was the oxtail gravy). A pleasant surprise was the fluffy festivals they included-def not the usual packaged kind. Wait times are to be expected. Only critique I have, I would have liked more rice .We'll definitely be ordering from here again.

I have to take back whatever I said about this place a year ago. It was the opening week & I waited very long for my food & when I received it, it didn't taste authentic to me. I went back today & had an amazing experience, spoke to the owner & told him my concerns. He really does do his best to fix any & all bad experiences you may have encountered. Food is A1. Boom J's used to be my go to for Jamaican food, but since they have downgraded, I will now be exclusively going to Pimentos for all my Caribbean food needs.

This is the best spot for Jamaican cuisine in the West Island hands down!!! My boyfriend & I heard great things & we decided to try it out & we were not disappointed!!! The staff were super friendly, kind & helpful! The food was incredible! I loved the curried goat. The flavours were so fresh & seasoned perfectly. I really only have great things to say about this place. We will definitely be going back again soon. Thanks so much Pimento's!!!

LOVED THIS RESTAURANT!! tried it out yesterday & i love their oxtails. As soon as I walked in, the menu got my attention. I would for sure be going back & trying some more food. The best Jamaican restaurant. They only do take outs, since there are no table & considering that the place is small.
