We were visiting Montreal from Nova Scotia & this was hands down the best food we had all weekend. From the moment we walked in, the staff were kind, & welcoming. Once they found out we were from Nova Scotia, they really showed us love.
The food? Absolutely unreal. We had the curry goat & jerk chicken plates & every bite was full of flavour. Amazing portions! Amazing peppa sauce! Honestly couldn't believe it was halal!
Pimentos is the kind of place you don't forget. Warm people, amazing food, & good vibes all around. This will definitely be our go-to spot every time we're back in Montreal. Highly recommend.
Hi

just a suggestion maybe have some island sweets.😀😉😋
Food was great service good been a few times had the jerk chicken & curry goat sides are ok would be nice if could have a choice for white rice they only serve rice & peas
Food is decent for a Jamaican restaurant in Montreal. Don't really have too many complaints. The food comes with a nice assortment of sides in the combo. I did ask for curry goat gravy for the rice & they gave me some in a little cup. It was pretty laughable how little gravy they give you. It wasn't even equivalent to a regular spoonful you'd find at your typical Caribbean restaurant. The festivals were my favorite item, very delicious! But overall very good value for your money.
I got a patty , the fish cakes , jerk chicken , fried chicken & curry goat . The patty was delicious 8/10 the best I've had in Montreal in a long time . The fish cakes we a 7 out of 10 the seasoning was amazing , it was little to dense for me if it was a little lighter it would be a 9/10 . The jerk was amazing , flavourful , spicy but sweet just perfect . Exactly the way jerk is suppose to be . The fried chicken was crispy & delicious , I could eat it everyday . The curry goat was excellent , not everyone can do a good curry but pimentos can . All in all my experience & the food was phenomenal. I drove 40 minutes & was not disappointed. I will 100% be back .
Came all the way from Toronto & boy was it worth it! The curry goat was on point & the Jamaican patty , one of the best handheld foods you can get! 10/10 gotta check this place out!
Wow!! The food was fantastic, the curry goat was probably the best curry goat I've ever eaten! Was so tender & FULL of flavor…everything was delicious! The young man working the front was cheerful & did a great job of serving the ever so many clients! Well done PIMENTOS!! 👏👏👏
Excellents plats, tout est délicieux. C'était une première expérience de ce restaurant pour emporter. Nous avons tout aimé (Goat curry & Jerk Chicken). À refaire!
The jerk chicken was amazing. However the rice was stale, the fish cakes didn't even taste like fish it was too doughy. We also got the goat curry plate do not recommend. Got few pieces of goat not worth your money.
Just tried this place for the first time today & it was incredible. Caribbean food isn't easy to get right, but they nailed. Everything was fresh & well seasoned. I ordered the half fried chicken half jerk chicken plate, curry goat plate, & 12 fish cakes, all for $54.95 tax incl. It was a great price & very generous portions. & most importantly, they didn't say'we nuh have dat' like most Caribbean restaurants do lol. Will definitely be going back & recommend to anyone looking for some good Caribbean food.
This food is a must try ! The jerk salmon was perfectly cooked with the right amount of spice. The salad had a type of honey mustard dressing that tasted amazing. The curry goat was AMAZING! The portions were big which I appreciated as many restaurants have gotten smaller & smaller with their portions. A MUST TRY in the West Island !
not exactly the type of place you'd dine in at, since it only has a small table that fits 2 people in the corner. did that stop me & my friend from taking the only 2 spots in the restaurant? it did not. anyways, food's amazing, workers are great people. ordered the goat curry & my friend got the jerk chicken. the flavour on the jerk chicken was insane. if you had to chose between the goat curry & jerk chicken (assuming you've never had either), definitely pick the jerk chicken you won't be disappointed
Wanted to go here for lunch for the longest time! It is a very small space & there is only seating for 2, so eating in the car or at home is ideal. I ordered the fried chicken with BBQ sauce. My friends got a half/half jerk chicken & oxtail & half/half curry goat & oxtail. My friends would rate their meals a 7.5. I liked my meal but it did take an extra 15 mins for my meal. There were very kind though & appreciated my patience. I absolutely loved my chicken & the festivals. The rice & mac salad were not my favourite though. PS. Don't waste money buying drinks at the restaurant, walk two doors down to the dep to get drinks!! Overall would rate this experience a 6.5/10!
This is the best spot for Jamaican cuisine in the West Island hands down!!! My boyfriend & I heard great things & we decided to try it out & we were not disappointed!!! The staff were super friendly, kind & helpful! The food was incredible! I loved the curried goat. The flavours were so fresh & seasoned perfectly. I really only have great things to say about this place. We will definitely be going back again soon. Thanks so much Pimento's!!!
