Review Summary

Pikolo Espresso Bar is widely recognized for its exceptional coffee, skillfully prepared espresso, and cozy atmosphere that many patrons find ideal for both working and socializing. While the majority of visitors praise the knowledgeable staff and high-quality pastries, opinions regarding the seating availability, service consistency, and overall value are mixed. Some customers appreciate the calm and inviting vibe, noting it as a perfect neighborhood spot, while others express frustration over limited electrical outlets, occasional lapses in staff friendliness, and challenges with seating capacity during peak hours. Despite these varied experiences, the establishment remains a popular destination in Montreal for those seeking a crafted beverage experience.

Stopped in for a quick coffee & snack. This place was great! The barista was attentive & made the coffees just right. Also got a carrot muffin that was soft & sweet, it hit the spot. The ambience is nice & quiet, seems like a good place to get work done or just enjoy a moment. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!

In Montréal for a conference, staying at the Doubletree. Went to Pikolo four times in three days. Great coffee, friendly staff, good space to work from for a bit. My Montréal centre-ville coffee shop.

Took the kids here last Saturday afternoon & honestly it was the perfect little stop after a morning of errands. The espresso was genuinely excellent, strong & smooth without being bitter, & my older one was happy with a hot chocolate that didn't taste like powder. The spot on Mackay Street has this cozy, tucked-away feel that somehow stays calm even when it's busy, which I really appreciated with two restless kids in tow. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the neighborhood.

The new location is nice but there's no point in going because the place is always full of people who park their rear-ends for hours & monopolize the tables while drinking one cup of coffee, & those who just want to meet a friend to have some coffee & talk have nowhere to sit. They also refuse to share tables, so you have one person hogging a table that could be used by two or three people.
