Overall, reviews describe Pikolo Espresso Bar as a bright, cozy spot with friendly, knowledgeable staff and strong coffee, complemented by delicious pastries and a chic atmosphere. Espresso drinks are frequently praised for their smoothness and latte art, and the matcha and other drinks are well received. The location, convenient wifi, and welcoming service are noted, with staff often described as patient and helpful in making recommendations. Many visitors praise the croissants, donuts, and inventive drinks like the summer slush, which many describe as balanced and flavorful. However a few comments point to a recent dip in coffee quality for some lattes, limited food options, a small space that gets crowded, and practical hiccups such as cups for iced drinks and occasionally unfriendly staff. Overall Pikolo remains a solid local favorite for crafted drinks and good vibes, with experiences varying by visit.

Solid matcha latte, but croissant was quite lackluster. Had it been warm or less hard, I feel like I would've enjoyed it more. Came here when I was wondering around Montreal looking for caffeine/food that was open before 10AM. Wouldn't be my first choice for coffee + pastries but gets the job done in a pinch.
The location & the atmosphere is really good but there has been a noticeable decline in the coffee quality as of late. They were reliably serving rich, delicious coffee before & recently I've ordered a latte with barely any coffee in it. It felt like I was drinking milk.
Its a really cute spot for a cup of coffee. Everything here is just perfect from their lattes to the scones . I have tried their chocolate scone & it was just delicious. Their latte & mocha both were so perfect & amazing. Also the art . You can just sit there & relax or study . You can feel the perfect cafe vibes here. Its surely gonna be my new go to place for coffee.
Great cafe. Clean, sleek, good for work, friendly baristas, & excellent drinks. I ordered a decaf soy latte with a shot of chai & it was so good! Highly recommend. They even have an orange blossom frappe that they let me tried that was bomb.
Pikolo is a delightful little coffee haven that quickly became my favorite spot in town. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped by a warm & welcoming atmosphere that feels like home. The rustic decor, comfortable seating, & soft ambient lighting make it the perfect place to unwind, whether you're catching up with friends or enjoying some quiet time alone. The coffee at Pikolo is simply outstanding. Each cup is brewed to perfection, showcasing rich, robust flavors that delight the palate. Their menu features a variety of options, from classic espressos & lattes to unique seasonal specialties. Every drink I've tried has been consistently excellent, with a level of craftsmanship that reflects their passion for great coffee. But what truly sets Pikolo apart is the friendly & attentive staff. They go above & beyond to make sure every visit is a pleasant experience. Their baked goods are fresh & flavourful, the perfect complement to a steaming cup of coffee Overall, Pikolo is a gem of a coffee shop that combines exceptional coffee, a cozy atmosphere, & outstanding service. It's a place where you can relax, recharge, & savor the simple joy of a great cup of coffee. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a cozy retreat in the heart of the city.

The atmosphere of the place is alright. Nothing unique, the service seems very robotic & 1 of the baristas has nails about 3 inches long. That feels unsanitary & recall that in the restaurant industry (not coffee shops) nails should be short. Besides what can be perceived as unsanitary & the very robotic greeting. I decided to have a latte anyways..... Today's latte tasted like old water.
Pikolo Espresso Cafe provides a cozy & inviting atmosphere for coffee enthusiasts. The espresso is rich & well-crafted, showcasing their commitment to quality. The cafe's ambiance is perfect for both work & relaxation, making it a versatile spot. The staff is friendly & attentive, enhancing the overall experience. While the seating may be limited, the charm of the place compensates for it. A delightful spot for a satisfying coffee break.

Great espresso, make sure to try the pumpkin spice latte in the fall while it's available. Also make sure to try their bag of Pikolo beans for brewing at home!
