Overall, reviews describe Pikolo Espresso Bar as a bright, cozy spot with friendly, knowledgeable staff and strong coffee, complemented by delicious pastries and a chic atmosphere. Espresso drinks are frequently praised for their smoothness and latte art, and the matcha and other drinks are well received. The location, convenient wifi, and welcoming service are noted, with staff often described as patient and helpful in making recommendations. Many visitors praise the croissants, donuts, and inventive drinks like the summer slush, which many describe as balanced and flavorful. However a few comments point to a recent dip in coffee quality for some lattes, limited food options, a small space that gets crowded, and practical hiccups such as cups for iced drinks and occasionally unfriendly staff. Overall Pikolo remains a solid local favorite for crafted drinks and good vibes, with experiences varying by visit.
Loved this place! Good, strong coffee & fresh baked goods. Very friendly barista who recommended a drag show to us when we asked what was fun to do in Montreal (had a great time there too).
coffee was good, but the staff was so not welcoming that it felt like I'm almost intruding their chill hang behind the counter, very grumpy & unfriendly
Solid matcha latte, but croissant was quite lackluster. Had it been warm or less hard, I feel like I would've enjoyed it more. Came here when I was wondering around Montreal looking for caffeine/food that was open before 10AM. Wouldn't be my first choice for coffee + pastries but gets the job done in a pinch.
There is nothing special about this coffee shop. We drove there specially & were a little disappointed. The paper cups they used were also of poor quality & became too soft to hold after a while.

Just walked into Pikolo for the first time today-rain was falling, but something about the Slush d'été called my name. & wow. Despite the weather, it was the perfect choice. Rich, smooth, & refreshingly balanced-not overly sweet like most summer drinks. There was this delicate hint of rose or maybe orange blossom, layered beautifully with the coffee. It instantly transported me to a warm summer afternoon in Beirut, where floral notes & espresso mingle in the air. Pikolo nailed it. A must-visit if you're into crafted drinks that tell a story.

The location & the atmosphere is really good but there has been a noticeable decline in the coffee quality as of late. They were reliably serving rich, delicious coffee before & recently I've ordered a latte with barely any coffee in it. It felt like I was drinking milk.
My friend & I went to there to have coffee at 17h30, the coffee was good.
The clerk swept the floor two times before we left. It seems that he wanted to be off the work as soon as possible & didn't care that the dust will fly & down to the coffee.
It's not supposed to sweep the floor in front of your customers, not only it will cause the dust but also it give the signal that you want customers leave soon. It's a pity that you gave me this bad impression.
