We went to Pigeon Café on Monkland this afternoon for a late day breakfast. Called ahead to make sure they serve breakfast all day & that we weren't ordering breakfast items at a time they dont normally serve it. Numerous breakfast items were 100% on the lunch menu. We were VERY disappointed. I ordered 2 eggs over-easy with grilled salami, breakfast potatoes, & white toast. The eggs were fried hard & crispy, the grilled salami was paper thin, & had obviously been sitting around for quite a while. It was dry & inedible. The deep friend potatoes had been left-over from lunch, dry, dehydrated, & cold, finally the toast was unbuttered. My fiancee ordered the Avocado toast, the Avocado was not ripe & hard to cut & eat.
The restaurant was not busy at all, only 3 other tables & 3 or 4 wait staff. This is when you should be at your best bcuz you don't have an excuse like'we were busy'. If you can't excel when it's slow & you're not busy, then either you're just bad or you don't care. As a (now), retired Master Chef, I would NEVER serve food like this at any time, let alone when the restaurant is almost empty & I have more than enough time to get it right. I hate giving bad reviews as it can really affect a business, but when it's this bad & there is no reason for it, it has to be said.. in saying that, I also believe owners/managers need to know whats going on. They can't fix something if they don't know its broken. Based on todays visit, I do not recommend Pigeon Café on Monkland. ⭐?⭐?
Great place to go on a date. Great vibe to the place. I had a cortado & it was really good. Not the best place for croissants but they have plenty of options for coffee & drinks. The interiors of the place are stunning. Would definitely recommend.

We loved the food & the service! Everything was amazing. The place has a very enjoyable vibe & tasteful decoration. The waiter was very attentive & the manager came to see how we were doing. I highly recommend the onion soup, the calamaris & the mediterranean bowl.
The place is very cozy & well decorated, but I was very disappointed by their slow service. They're food was very average. I'd recommend it to those who's trying to study & grab a cup of coffee in a cozy spot.
Wow wow wow! My boyfriend & I came here for a drink & small bite on my birthday & sat at the bar. Our bartender, Elle, was so sweet & funny. Lily, one of the general managers, was amazing. She gave us a ton of recommendations for places to visit while we're in town too. The drinks were incredible especially the espresso cocktails!! We got the pigs in a blanket...highly recommend. Definitely stop here if you're in the area!
Bel endroit cosy, belle décoration. Les prix sont un peut exagérés( exemple:une soupe tomate à 8,95$ sans pain, c'est un extra. Elle était trop salée)Il devrait faire un peut de ménage au plafond. La table que nous avions était pas nettoyé, ça m'a déçu car c'est un minimum. Le personnel était serviable mais long. Il faut de la patience. C'est sûr il y a toujours place à l'amélioration. Les pancakes étaient trop épais, perso, je ne recommande pas les deux plats que j'ai mentionné dans le texte. En général, j'ai aimé l'ambiance.

Tennessee provided amazing service, & brought me my hat when I didn't realize I dropped it under the table 💚 thank you so much! Great place to go to for a quick coffee, super affordable & ample seating outside, would recommend.
Such a cute spot - went there for a quick breakfast after dropping off kids at school nearby. Had the steak & eggs dish with a chai latte, everything was DELISH! Especially the chai latte it was the best I've ever had in a long time! Service was great, the restaurant environment itself was cozy & friendly. Highly recommend:)
I went with my group & our service was fast & the food was delicious. The waiters were friendly & one even took the time to learn to sign "you're welcome" to us. I would highly recommend this place :)
Commande via Uber d'une Salade scoop : mix de poulet pas frais au goût dérangeant & d'un sandwich Schnitzel livré brûlé! J'ai appelé au Pigeon Café & on me répond que tout ce qu'ils peuvent faire c'est de le dire à la cuisine, & d'appeler Uber... 57,08$ pour un mauvais lunch, c'est cher payé & ça laisse sur notre faim. Allons-nous recommander? Non!

Booked a reservation for party of 25. Very kind & accommodating. The waitress was told about severe allergies, however my friends still received food with the allergen. (Happened twice!) Luckily nothing severe happens but it could have been much worse. Also someone found a hair in their food. They replaced the food & was still very kind. The food was amazing besides those accident. Came out fast. The decoration & vibes are immaculate!! Would recommend
I was at the restaurant before it was this one & they refurbished it beautifully. The service was superb from the two slender & iron deficient guys that were looking like they needed a good meal, which was ironic. The young lady with the leopard top & great nails & really good eye contact, was most helpful. The menu was broken down into half complete booze so I guess it's abusatorium, & then one small section for breakfast but bigger than the other sections which were called lunch & supper. My meal came highly recommended from one of the guys & the waitress & it was very weird. But it was interesting & it did have some interesting taste as well as appearance. But poached eggs buried underneath some sort of red sauce with a bunch of stuff in it & a bun cut in half & then hacked again & toasted & the old piece of Middle Eastern bread & a nice lump of lebna goat cheese, & it was certainly something I hadn't seen before. My buddy Angelo, former owner of a famous Italian restaurant, had something more traditional & he liked his. The fries were surprisingly entertaining because they were shaped more like a waffle except with crisscross pieces with spaces between them. Very creative, reasonably tasty but definitely visually entertaining.. Both the excitement & the drawback all at once was the acoustics that had everybody's conversation from every square into the place in your ears. It was loud. But that doesn't mean that's bad... As I do go to an Italian restaurant in the West Island of Montreal that's very big & acoustically also challenging where you walk in & you have to practically yell at your friend who's standing right beside you to be heard. This was kind of like that . Definitely an interesting place & probably as the bar even more interesting. . Would I go back again for just the main course & what it cost, it's okay. Certainly a lot cheaper than covid-19 prices in many places but nothing cheap about the place at all otherwise. . One thing I don't care for however is their machine that takes your credit cards & it starts at 18% & goes up from there. The last two buttons on the screen to choose from are assigning your income to them & then assigning your home to them. Hahaha kidding but it felt like that because 15% was under choose another percentage. & remember that you're not supposed to tip & count the percentage on the tax but before tax. So when you pay 15% you're actually paying a fair bit more. There was no need for it to start at 18% tip! I find that... off-putting. . Otherwise I'd give the restaurant somewhere between a 3. 6 & a 4.1 . I deleted people's faces in my photos
Amazing quality service, food is delightful (recommended the halloumi shakshuka). There was a lovely french girl that was very responsive & sweet. I definitely recommend for dates / brunches as the ambiance is amazing!

I got lured into finally trying out pigeon café, & I was NOT disappointed...
From ambiance to food, everything was fantastic.
My meal did take me by surprise, it was just a BLT but it was certainly delicious.
As well as the Artichoke dip. Man, did they provide with the quantity of dip. Honestly it could have been a meal. I ended up taking some dip home, that's how much there was.
To sum it all up, I'm glad I tried out Pigeon café, this location, service & quality of food was great, absolutely no complaints.
Would easily recommend this place to anyone looking for an aesthetic brunch that actually delivers.
Le Sandwich spécial Pigeon est très bon avec les patates gaufrées. Le sandwich me fait beaucoup penser à un sandwich smoked meat (viande fumée) mais avec quelques ingrédients de plus (dinde, fromage...). Le seul commentaire négatif sur ce sandwich serait la quantité trop grande de moutarde. Sinon, le sandwich déjeuner était bien aussi avec les petites patates déjeuner style pilées. Les smoothies sont bons. Les prix sont comparables aux autres restaurants populaires de déjeuners. Le service était bon, quoi que c'était long par moment. Le restaurant est très beau & on y retrouve une belle ambiance. Je recommande.
