Patty Slaps is praised for juicy smash burgers with standout mushroom and truffle variants, well balanced toppings, and pretzel or brioche buns that elevate the flavor, while some reviewers call the fries decent or underwhelming and note that portions can feel small for the price. Delivery orders often arrive tasting delicious, though some say quality deteriorates in transit, and a few dine in experiences mention inconsistent heat and grease, smoke, or a long wait. The ordering experience is modern and efficient thanks to self serve screens, even as some customers find the pace slow during busy periods and a few staff interactions matter. The atmosphere is described as industrial chic, vibrant, and casual, with a dog friendly patio in season and frequent lively vibes. Overall, Patty Slaps frequently lands among Montreal’s top burger spots, with many raving about flavor, freshness, and value, while others feel it is pricey or inconsistent and wish for better ventilation, more generous portions, and steadier service. Still, burgers are widely regarded as outstanding.

Good portioned food, incredibly kind & considerate staff. There's a lovely patio in the summer. It's incredibly pet friendly! They even offer an unseasoned Dog Patty for your furry companion. Nice good quality cardboard cups. Very juicy food & they have a handwashing station readily available to customers before the restroom. They really spared no expense on the customer experience! Their image & reputation is iconic, from the no-mess baggie they serve their burgers in to the murals & decoration on the wall, One can tell they put effort into every aspect of the experience.
The burgers were amazing & the design of the place is really cool. It's a little pricey, but as a burger lover I really enjoyed it. I was visiting from the U.S. & this ended up being one of my favorite burger spots in Montreal.
First I'd like to say it was very expensive! $50 for two burgers & two drinks ! The meat tasted like charcoal as if they don't clean the grill enough which caused me to only eat half of it , it was making me nauseous but the sauce & topping were tasty. I wanted to try the poutine but it was too much money to justify for me. It also wasn't busy in side & I noticed that you know it's good food by how busy the place is !! I ordered off the kiosk & they don't give recipes, & they didn't speak to me except when they called the name for the order. Not to mention the unwelcoming vibe & looks on the workers faces was odd. I waited for my food for around 15 mins & was made fresh to order it definitely seems like they have been slacking!
Okay wow, best burger I've had in years !!! I had a burger & fries delivered & the presentation & freshness is on point . You can tell the quality & freshness in the food . Definitely will order again & stop by when I'm downtown .

We'd heard the hype & wanted to see for ourselves. While burger prices have gone up everywhere, $49 for two burgers, fries, & two drinks felt fair especially when the food came out in under 10 minutes. & to be honest? The burger was phenomenal. Both my wife & I agreed it lived up to the praise. Fries were decent, nothing special.
During our visit, I noticed something concerning about food-handling hygiene that left me feeling uneasy at the time. I mentioned it here in my review, & I want to give credit where it's due the business reached out to me directly by DM soon after. They assured me the issue has been addressed & provided details on the steps they've taken to ensure it doesn't happen again.
It's clear they take feedback seriously, & I really appreciate the quick response. While this experience did dampen our visit that day, I'm glad to know they're committed to keeping things safe & clean for their customers.
Self serve kiosk style. Prices were intimidating & left. But then came back & enjoyed one of the best burgers of my life. So juicy is was crazy! Pretzel buns are a perfect accompaniment to those burgers. Fries were bang on too. Atmosphere was a little...drab. But we were there for Burgers. Wish they would open in Ottawa!
