We got the Triple Trip with two sparkling mineral waters & oh my god - amazing! One of the best burgers we've had in Montreal, cooked fast, super juicy, crispy edges, bun is perfect. Staff was so friendly & quick. You can tell they care about what they do. If you're near downtown / Concordia, don't miss Patty Slaps - 5 stars all day!
Atmosphere cool, branding super cool. The fries are killer & the poutine is also super killer.
I used to frequent this spot a lot when it first opened in 2023. Unfortunately quality has changed somehow, & something about the burgers taste not as good as I remember. Including my usual picks which are mushroom truffle & crunch a delic. I don't come here as often because I find myself leaving a little disappointed. I used to put this place up at'high end fast food' but I'm not as ready to recommend it compared to gourmet burger places or classic fast food these days.
I'm not exactly sure what changed. The way they cook the meat maybe, it's not as'juicy' as it is'oily' & there is a slight char that seems artificial. The meat flavor is lacking, almost like it's overcooked. The bun is somehow too chewy & feels oily & unappealing, & I think the construction of the burger itself is often sloppy or lazy. Fundamentally, the flavours don't pop like how I remember, & they clash with each other now: especially with the sauteed onions in the crunchadelic. Something about the patty itself tastes different in a way I don't prefer.
I really want to like this place like how I remember liking it in 2023-2024 but I have a hard time wanting to come here now & it's almost never something I recommend. It's not bad at all, but I do think for the price (& if you're willing to go a little higher) you can get something else nearby that has a bit more'wow' to it.
First of all, we came for their burgers because my sister was craving it, & in the end, it was just to her satisfcation--she called it juicy & smokey. At first, I wasnt feeling a beef burger but when i saw their veggie burger the'Wedgie' it looked really appealing & it did not disappoint. Their vegeterian burger is stuffed with portobellini mushroom & cheese. Compared to the picture, It's not as cripsy as it looks & it was still very flavourful as the inside was cheesy, saucy (aioli) & chewy thx to their mushrooms. Their breads are also homemade pretzel buns & it adds a nice sweet n salty unique touch.
Besides their burgers which we liked so much, we also ordered the frenzy fries which are with'caramelized onions, a mushroom mix & homemade truffle mayo'. I find that their fries alone are thin & not filling, so instead one should try their frenzy fries. Note: dont expect to pay cheap, we paid 57$ tax included for a Psycho patty(lettuce, tomato, bacon++$), Wedgie burger, fries & frenzy fries & 1 drink.
Other than their food, i personally found that the atmosphere was comfortable. Since it was late when we went, you might find that its dim inside but they still offer bright lighting where there is (see in video). The place also had high chairs & fewer ground tables for eating. We also noticed that they had a good playlist but we did have a little trouble speaking aloud. It was a pleasant atmosphere, & the restaurant interior design made me think of an underground sewer pub for burgers.
For the service, we ordered via kiosk & then chose to pay in cash up front. The cashier there seemed already busy bagging other orders before us & online, so maybe we didnt assert enough but we got to pay after 5 minute & we received our orders by giving out our name. The lady was very nonchalant, maybe just tired but she was still nice. Something professional that I want to point out, is how the employees refused to give delivery orders unless the delivery drivers had a bag with them which i overhead them pointing out how its cold oustide. This impressed me because, it shows how they prioritize serving quality & fresh food even when its to be eaten elsewhere. We found their concept really cool & detailed, there was alsways something to look at, from their cups 🥤, tray sheets, the paper wrap for their burgers & even the murals on the walls.
The burgers were absolutely delicious, juicy, fresh, & full of flavor. The service was quick & friendly, & the whole place had a great vibe. Definitely coming back
'I tried the truffle mushroom burger & it was absolutely delicious. The patty was juicy & packed with rich, savory umami flavor, while the brioche bun was fresh, soft, & slightly sweet which was perfectly complementing the burger. The seasoning & truffle notes really elevated the overall taste. My only minor critique is that the portion felt a bit small for the price, but the flavor more than made up for it. I'd have this every day if it was cheaper haha. The service was quick & efficient, & the ordering process was smooth & hassle-free. Overall, a very satisfying meal, I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a flavorful gourmet burger experience.
