There is a variety of fresh-baked pastries, cookies, & breads.
The cashier is very efficient & you can het what you want & get out quickly.
The bakery is also full of returning customers, & plenty of children go there with their parents.
Has all the basic pastries & more. Unfortunately, a lot was sold out by the time I got there Monday evening but usually that's a good sign anyways. Prices are fair. Would go again.

You can never go wrong with a good ol' traditional Chinese bakery! This lovely little Chinatown spot features a wide selection of Chinese breads & pastries, all displayed in little self-serve cases. I dropped by around 6 PM, so I was expecting the selection to be pretty sparse &/or stale, but I was quite impressed by (1) the quality & freshness of the remaining bread, (2) the number of options still available, & (3) the number of people who managed to cram into this tiny space. The evening seems to be prime Chinese bakery hour, & it looked like folks were stocking up on desserts for the night &/or breakfast for the next morning. & I can't blame them - the buns all looked absolutely gorgeous. I ended up grabbing a green tea & red bean bun. The bread was super soft & moist, & it was the most beautiful forest green colour. I can't say that I could really taste the green tea, so I imagine most of it was just in the appearance. There was a good amount of red bean filling, & I appreciated that it was subtly sweet...all-around, it was the perfect late afternoon / early afternoon snack after a long day of exploring Montreal.
Very good place to get food on the way! Each time I go to the Palais des congrès for conventions, I always get my lunch there!! Lot's of variety & everything I tried so far was good! My go to are Hot dog bun, curry beef bun, sweet crust bun & shallots & bacon buns. Never been disappointed once! It's also so cheap, I got a full meal (hot dog bun, curry beef, sweet crust bun & a drink) for less than 15$, but usually I only pick two pastries for around 7$, really worth it! Will continue to go there every time I'm in quartier chinois
Friendly staff & fresh baked pastries & buns. You grab a tray, parchment paper, & tongs & serve yourself before paying at the cashier. Nice & easy place to pick up a grab & go type of snack.

I tried several buns & pastries that were all delicious. The prices are good & the staff friendly. Like many chinese places however, this patisserie is miles away from eco-friendly packaging -- UPDATE: They now use paper & non-plastic bags, I appreciate the effort!
Nice little pastries to try out in Chinatown. I'm usually not really into these kind of dessert, but those here are really good. There are different kind of pastries to try, either hot or cold, & it really depends on your current taste. For instance, egg tarts are good. They used to have more choice, but it looks like they cut down a bit on what they do. I would recommend, but only if you pass by. It's not worth a detour for.
