At Parma Café, the spirit of Italy meets the vibrancy of a fast-casual restaurant. Enjoy an authentic espresso prepared to perfection, as if you were in Naples. Parma Café Laval comes across as a warm, bright Italian spot with excellent coffee, hearty paninis, and reliable desserts, and the staff are frequently described as friendly and attentive. The menu offers a good variety from paninis and salads to pastries, with favourites like a well loved panini and the monthly special, while the atmosphere is often noted as great for studying or meeting friends; however it can get quite loud during peak times and seating can be tight. Many reviewers praise fast service and consistent quality, with thoughtful touches from the team and owners, and takeout and catering receive positive notes, making Parma Café Laval a popular, dependable choice for a casual meal or coffee.
Ordered the sausage panini on Uber, when I received it the sausage inside is thinner than my finger the rest is all lettuce, why do you even charge 25 dollars for that panini ? Your main dishes are paninis & you can't even provide a decent meal for an adult
Good cafe with even better service. Giuliano gave excellent sandwich recommendations & clearly knows his job-confident, friendly, & spot on with his picks. The sandwich was fresh & well balanced. If you're unsure what to order, ask him. Definitely worth a visit.
Disgusting Service
I've been to this café multiple times, but my last visit will absolutely be my last. The service was beyond disrespectful & honestly embarrassing to witness.
When I arrived to join my friend at our table (we were supposed to be three people, but she arrived first), I immediately felt something was off. They had seated her in a tight corner where barely two people could fit, sitting directly across from each other. A few minutes later, we noticed a nearby table being cleared & decided to move there once it was empty, something we've done before without issue.
That's when a staff member/manager (not sure who he thought he was) stormed over & told my friend,'No, no, you can't sit here. Go back to your place.' I understand cafés get busy, but there is absolutely no excuse for disrespect.
To make things worse, the table wasn't even being set for a group of three - it was for two people. Instead of calmly explaining the situation, this grown man chose to argue & shout in public at a younger woman. Truly shameful behavior. We weren't stealing seats, we weren't causing a scene, & we were leaving a clean table behind. Even if he owns the place, that does not give him the right to yell or belittle customers.
We decided to leave, at which point he continued making childish comments like babye under his breath & then kept arguing when confronted. Completely unprofessional. It was very clear he felt entitled to speak to us that way because we were'just girls.' Wrong move.
Moral of the story: get your act together. A grown man running or working in a café should know how to speak to people - especially paying customers. This place lacks basic respect & professionalism. Take your business elsewhere
Not a good spot to study or work, very loud. We were two people sitting at a table for three in a corner near a charging outlet, while we saw two other customers taking a table for six & staff didn't say anything to them. After about an hour, staff came to tell us we were not allowed to use laptops, even though several people were clearly using laptops at the bar right in front of them, as well as at other tables.
To add to the confusion, we weren't even using our laptops at the moment they came to talk to us; we were just talking, eating cake, & drinking our coffee. They could have kindly asked us to move to the bar if laptop use was the issue.
On a positive note, the temperature inside was perfect, drinks & cake were amazing, Overall, the rules didn't seem to be applied consistently, which made the experience frustrating & uncomfortable.
I've visited the store multiple times & never had an issue. But during my recent visit, I witnessed the manager shouting at someone. I don't know exactly what happened, however, a manager should never speak to a customer that way. It startled me & multiple other costumers, to the point that I'm not sure if I will be returning.
