They have amazing staff that very obviously work together well & are happy to be there. We got the premium platter for two & it was more than enough -- we were stuffed & it was so fresh, such high quality food & drinks, I could not have had a better meal.View more
Top Japanese Restaurant Park delivers an exceptional dining experience. The fish is remarkably fresh, offering a clean & refreshing taste in every bite. The presentation of the dishes is unique & thoughtfully designed, showcasing true culinary artistry. The atmosphere & design of the restaurant are both elegant & welcoming, creating an ideal environment for a memorable meal. The highlight of the experience was the attentive service provided by Chef & Owner Antonio Park, who went above & beyond to ensure our comfort & satisfaction. A must-visit for anyone seeking top-quality sushi & professional, personalized service.View more
This place is amazing in all aspects. The quality of food, freshness of the seafood, the value & the service. I have to come every time when i visit Montreal.View more
I've been to Park many times over the years, but after last night's birthday dinner, I won't be returning. The experience was disappointing from start to finish. I had a crappy birthday. Kind've turned me off of fine dining in general.
First, the reservation process:
Because we were a party of ten, I wasn't allowed to book by phone. Instead, I had to email someone, wait for a reply, then fill out a clunky, poorly formatted form that I had to print & write on by hand, scan, & send back. This is absurd in 2025-especially for a restaurant of this calibre.
Then, the'private room':
I was told we'd have a private room, which sounded promising. Instead, we were seated in Café Bazin, the restaurant's next-door café. Not a Japanese dining room. A French café, with loaves of bread sitting out on the counter that my party members had to stare at while we ate; not the atmosphere one is looking for when they book upscale Japanese restaurant-it felt absurd, improvised. & the room's humidity made us feel like were eating in a greenhouse. The table was sticky. The lights also flickered every 40 minutes, & the temperature was easily above 22.5°C. So much for atmosphere.
Then, the maitre d':
Service from the floor staff was uneven. The maitre d' seemed disengaged & inattentive, did not greet us with grace or even eye contact, & guide my mother to the next door'private dining room' through tightly packed tables instead of using the wider main path. He also inconsistently directed guests-some were told to go through the café entrance from outside, others were led through the restaurant. It felt disorganized & thoughtless.
Then, the service:
Our waitress, to her credit, was kind & professional. But the food pacing was outrageous. We were all seated at 6:30 p.m., & the first course didn't arrive until 7:44 p.m., even though she assured me food would come out quickly given everything was pre-set. Despite being a pre-set menu, the kitchen somehow delivered a three-hour meal where each course was minuscule & fussy, with dishes that leaned more French than Japanese (small, saucy, hardly Japanese-y). Most dishes were tepid, dry, or rubbery-clearly pre-prepared & left under heat lamps. Cringe.
The only sushi we received came as the final course: a modest 6 to 8 pieces per person. For a party meal at a Japanese restaurant, it was the only thing that felt even remotely appropriate, though a large Omakase sushi platter for the whole party to share would've been far more satisfying. Sadly, even those small plates weren't enough to salvage the experience because they too were not particularly fresh.
Park used to be great. I remember its early days, when the sushi was exceptional & the fish was clearly fresh. Those days are long gone. The quality has slipped, the service feels indifferent, & the prices are no longer justified. It now coasts on its Westmount location & local reputation. I won't be back.View more
Phenomenal omokase experience. The service was amazing, the personal greeting & thanks from chef Park was lovely, along with the extra pieces of toro sent our way by him! Truly worth the several hour drive for this destination restaurant, the kind of place where price doesn't matter & it's all about the experience & quality of food.View more
Been here a couple of times. Very pricey but quality of ingredients are excellent. Sashimi is excellent & fresh. Maki rolls are good but too much sauce. I like to taste the ingredients. Nigiri was good but portions were tiny. Service was very good & informed. Overall a very good meal but not worth the price. There are other Japanese restaurants that are very good that will satisfy your sushi craving but at a better price point.View more
The best quality sushi I've had in a while. Eat bite was fresh & full of flavor. For quality sushi places, less is more - go sashimi & nigiri. Maki roll was good but we wished to have gotten another nigiri round instead. The strawberry dessert special right now is probably top 3 favorite desserts I have ever hadView more
I had the Premium Sushi platter - the quality of all the sashimi was great. However, I wish it was brought out in stages so that the Nigiri rice stayed warm & the fish less dry from being served all at once. The set was priced per person but it ended up being so much for one person! (The edamame was lots also for one person). I found myself forcing to finish it.View more
Exquisite. Atmosphere, service, quality... Park checked off the whole list. Although on the pricey side, worth it for the fine dining sushi experience.View more
Unfortunately disappointing. The food was okay, but well below the quality you would expect for the price point. Very minimal selection of cocktails & sake by the glass. Tuna tartare was quite bad, but the nigiri was pretty good.View more
Went for lunch, their menu is well priced for the quality. I wouldn't recommend the lunch box even though it was good, because it doesn't reflect the level of the other dishes. Yes you get a bit of everything ( gyozas, sushi, rice & salad ) but it is average in terms of taste compared to the rest. Sushis are really fresh & original, take thay over the lunchbox in my opinion. Will definitely comeback for lunch or dinner !View more
I was looking forward trying this place, & what a better occasion for my partner's birthday. When making the reservation it asked me if it was for an special occasion & I wrote it was for a birthday. When we arrived it took a bit of time to get welcomed but I understand it gets busy. When I said I had the reservation the hostess turned & looked around & said is this table okay? Not that I was expecting much but if this place is that popular I would've expected at least a little reserved note on the table or something it was more like a casual place & he was checking what tables were empty to give me. Why did I even put down 35$ per person to reserve a place where It clearly seems like an average restaurant that you can just walk-in. We got seated down like sardines in the middle of two tables were we could just hear their whole conversation of both tables, almost even share the food at this point. Service was quick & food was good but nothing extraordinary. Now, I'm not expecting a cake or a show or even a free dessert when I mention in my reservation that I'm celebrating someone's birthday. However the fact that it wasn't even awknoledge that it was someone's birthday at all really disappointed me, not even a hey happy birthday...honestly average for what they charge & for the hype of this place. I feel like they are so many other places in montreal that you can get way better food, service & quality for that price that I would not recommend this place for special occasions at all.View more
Amazing food, incredible service, excellent atmosphere. We went here for lunch & had a great experience. I would highly recommend a visit. The sushi was such high quality & the unique spin on the dishes left me wanting more. Creative, filling, & enjoyable dining experience!View more
Top quality sushi & service. It comes at a hefty price tag if you get the sushi platters but if you want to try the highest quality tuna cuts, it's a must! Although I'd say the oysters aren't anything special. Will definitely comebackView more
I remember having an Omakase there, 7 course for two people. The quality of fish & presentation wasn't what I expected an Omakase to be as it was hidden in the back kitchen. As I remembered good Omakase's were made right in front of you with high quality presentation. It costs around 500$ for two people including the tips I've given the waiter. I really wished the tuna tasted different, the presentation would turn out differently as well. I was quite disappointed but enjoyed the mood the people there gave. I hope they take this into consideration.View more
honestly the best sushi/fish i never had. Server was very sweet & the ambiance is chic but also accessible!
the quality of the food was amazing. we took the plate for one with around 30 pcs, soup miso & endamame + tartare on the side + wine bottle & we were totally full at the end! can’t wait to go back, thank you for the experience 😊View more
Honestly very good, but the prices are exaggerated in my opinion.
There are other sushi restaurants in Montreal with the same fish quality, but with more reasonable prices. Anyways, it's a must try in Montreal, but I feel like the value ratio isn't great.View more
Best Korean & Japanese food in Montreal. Quality & freshness is superbe! The service is also amazing!
