Went to celebrate a milestone birthday. The oysters were excellent. We enjoyed the tuna tataki & the sashimi was delicious. The maki was a disappointment. We had the Special Maki (salmon & tuna tartare topped with sautéed mushrooms & jalepeno). The mushrooms were delicious but overwhelmed the fish. We also tried the chef feature maki of crab & torched scallop & the grilled octopus entree. Underwhelming. Also, there was something sharp left on the octopus & unfortunately it cut my gums on my last bite of the dish. We let the server know & we weren't expecting anything other than an apology. It was not acknowledged at all. For a pretty expensive birthday dinner, it was not impressive & worse, their air conditioning was not working & it was like dining in the dessert. Been here a couple of times. Very pricey but quality of ingredients are excellent. Sashimi is excellent & fresh. Maki rolls are good but too much sauce. I like to taste the ingredients. Nigiri was good but portions were tiny. Service was very good & informed. Overall a very good meal but not worth the price. There are other Japanese restaurants that are very good that will satisfy your sushi craving but at a better price point.View more

Been coming here for a while, simply because I have no time for groceries, the food here is unique. I especially enjoyed the premium platter sushi. A variety of selection of different sashimi & maki sushi. The ones that stood out would be the Otoro, which is a very fatty fish that you can not get anywhere from all you can eat sushi( if you find there are, let me know). The presentation is beautiful. I also especially find the sea urchin to be very interesting. Not many people will like it but I do. The workers are well informed on what we are eating. & maybe not everyone but I especially feel welcomed by the staff, including the owner, Antonio Park, very busy man but always checks up on me. & Ms. Jodie, always informative & very kind. Atmosphere, is in a dim light setting, definitely a bar like feeling( it has a drinks bar & a sushi bar). My favourite dessert would be omakase dessert, strawberry based, I loved the different layers it has, strawberry sorbet at the top with creaminess surround it, with a biscuit cracker that separates it from the fresh strawberry & purée at the bottom.View more

The best quality sushi I've had in a while. Eat bite was fresh & full of flavor. For quality sushi places, less is more - go sashimi & nigiri. We ordered the premium sushi platter, the sashimi were so fresh & reminded us of the sashimi we had in Japan! The sushi were also tasty & fresh! The wagyu sando was made with Wagyu ground beef, it was very smooth & tender but lack of that umami flavour. Anyway, it was still enjoyable! I had the Premium Sushi platter - the quality of all the sashimi was great. However, I wish it was brought out in stages so that the Nigiri rice stayed warm & the fish less dry from being served all at once. The set was priced per person but it ended up being so much for one person! (The edamame was lots also for one person). I found myself forcing to finish it.View more

Finally tried the infamous Park! Let me start off by saying it is not worth it, at ALL! Highly exaggerated prices. We paid $200+ for 3 rolls & sashimi. The sashimi was some of the best i ever had but the rolls were decent, definitely not worth the price. We thought the atmosphere would mke up for the price, but no. Sat behind a table of young guys who were extremally loud & drunk. We excepted more out of a fine dining restaurant, ended up being more of an izakaya style restaurant. Would never repeat. Trust me when I say I know my sushi, you do not want to waste your money here.View more

Mon coup de coeur 2014. Des plats recherchés, des sushis & sashimis surprenant, une qualité & une fraicheur impeccable. Des choix plus conventionnels pour ceux qui n'aiment pas le sushi. Une sélection de saké à découvrir. Service sans failles. C'est cher, mais ça vaut le prix.

I went there this past Thursday (second time here. The 1st time was a while back & I had picked a sushi menu only). This Thursday's omakase featured fabulous courses like the tomato soup, Scallop/dashi / saké bouillon , their sashimis. But the two last dishes (Black Salmon/ Daikon / butternut squash puree + the rice pudding/chocolate ganache dessert) did not pursue with the sense of Asian flavors I do expect on an Omakase, & that were brilliantly showcased on the earlier items. As for his sushis, they are fine but I was less taken by them than at some other sushiyas in Montreal. Still, one of the better restaurants in town.
