It is very interesting to see their creative takes on traditional dishes. However, I feel like because we know what the traditional way of preparing the food tastes like, the food here was a bit less appealing to us. The food itself was good & flavourful but I feel like the combination of flavours are not as good. The sauces were not complementing the duck as well as it could be & the tender meat did not create that variation in texture compared to the crispy skin of the duck in the traditional way of preparing this dish. The cucumber was also not properly marinated which was definitely less appetizing than the sweet & sour eggplant that had a great flavour profile. On the other hand, I really enjoyed their French toast dessert with red bean paste & ice cream. The sweetness was just right & the different flavours complemented each other so well. The service here was friendly but since they were so busy, I feel like they were a bit slow most of the time. It took them quite a while before bringing us our water & our drinks as well. The restaurant was packed with customers which made the place so lively & enjoyable but our tables were so small that the waiter couldn't put all the food we had ordered on the table. The food itself is priced a bit expensive. While the portions are decent, the side dishes are around 12$ a plate & the duck is 55$. Even though they are quite filling, I feel like some other restaurants do offer better tasting cucumber salads for half the price.

Expérience très agréable & mémorable chez Oncle Lee. Nous avons pris les nouilles au sésame ainsi que L'entrée de petits gâteaux de riz frits au saumon épicé, les aubergines avec cacahouète & sauce barbecue, les côtes, sauce aigre douce. Tous les plats étaient joliment présentés, savoureux, & ce complémentais chacuns. Notre serveuse était très gentille, animée, répondait à toutes nos questions & a bien pris soin que tout nous convenait. Très bonne playlist. Nous recommandons également le saké au citron / yuzu.
The food was just okay, but also not impressive. For what you're paying, I expected a more refined experience. You could get better value at an upscale restaurant or even in Chinatown, where the flavors & portions tend to stand out more. Unfortunately, this didn't meet expectations.
We had a fabulous meal at Oncle Lee! Everything was perfectly cooked! I wasn't sure if ordering the steak was a good idea, but it really was delicious, & came out on a sizzling plate! The little shrimp sandwiches were cute, & super tasty! I highly recommend Oncle Lee!
Très bel endroit avec une belle terrasse à l'arrière. La nourriture y est très bonne. On aimerait avoir accès à une plus grande variété de plats. Pour le reste, tout est parfait.
Great vibes, service was quick & efficient. Food delicious. Ribs, salmon rice cakes, beef, noodles.. everything super fresh. Pain perdu for dessert delicious. Terasse is cozy.

The food is really tasty but I felt like the portions were slightly too small. For the price, there should be an equal way to share (like 6 pieces of fish instead of 5).
Souper entre amies un jeudi soir sur la magnifique terrasse. Quelle belle découverte! De l'accueil au service tout était parfait. Michael notre serveur nous a été d'une grande aiðe pour choisir nos plats qui étaient tout simplement délicieux. Je dois ajoutê que les pétoncles sauce xo sont à tomber par terre de saveur. Nous y retournerons sans hésiter.
I recently visited Oncle Lee in Montreal, & it was a wonderful dining experience. The duck with condiments was beautifully prepared & full of depth, while the sesame noodles were definitely the highlight of the meal - rich, fragrant, & perfectly balanced.
Personally, I prefer food that's a little more spicy, but even so, the flavours never disappointed. Every dish had its own character, & the overall quality was consistent. A spot I'd happily return to for authentic & well-executed dishes.
Très belle expérience! Le service était excellent, la terrasse magnifique & les plats délicieux. J'y retournerais seulement pour le riz frit qui était absolument incroyable. Seul point négatif: les prix sont assez élevés pour de petites portions.
I had a fantastic experience at Oncle Lee last week & will definitely be returning. The menu is outstanding, every dish we tried was packed with flavour & beautifully executed. The plates are designed for sharing, & unlike some other share-style restaurants, the portions were generous & satisfying.
Our favourites were the ribs & the eggplant - both were absolutely unforgettable. I'll be dreaming about them until my next visit!
Service was equally impressive: well-paced, attentive, & never rushed. We dined indoors, but I can imagine the terrace would be a great vibe in the summer. Highly recommend!
Nous étions un groupe de 8 & nous avons parfaitement été servis. Oncle Lee est fait pour être partagé & nous avons été plus que comblé. Tout les drinks étaient aussi très bon. Ps: prenez le plat de canard, c'est à raffoler!
