I had a wonderful dinner experience at Oncle Lee on Laurier. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth & positive energy. The hostess was friendly & guided us to our table with a smile.

The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a cozy atmosphere & elegant red accents. One thing I really appreciated was that, despite the open kitchen concept, there was no lingering food smell in the dining room.

The service was outstanding. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, & took the time to explain the menu & answer our questions.
To start, I ordered the spicy salmon on rice cake, & it was absolutely delicious. The contrast between the crispy rice cake & the fresh, tender salmon was perfectly balanced.
For my main course, I had the sweet & sour eggplant, topped with fresh coriander & crunchy peanuts. The portions are moderate, so if you have a big appetite, I'd recommend ordering a few dishes to share & enjoy more of the menu.
To finish, I ordered the pain perdu, & it was absolutely delicious.

Overall, everything exceeded my expectations. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food, the attentive service, & the overall experience. The staff regularly checked on us, cleared empty plates promptly, & made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the evening.

I highly recommend Oncle Lee if you're looking for flavorful food, excellent service, & a cozy atmosphere in Montreal.

This restaurant was fantastic for a group lunch for a bachelorette. They were so accommodating for all our dietary restrictions - vegetarian, gluten free, & dairy free. The desserts were amazing & high tot recommend you get the garlic fried rice, scallops, & the mushrooms.

I went there for dinner date! everything was amazing ! i like the atmosphere! the music in background is a bit loud which makes it hard to have a conversation! duck is chewy & not well cooked! but the rest of the meal highly recommend!

Je pense sincèrement que c'est le meilleur restaurant que j'ai pu tester à Montreal dans cette gamme de prix 70-80$ !

La nourriture est hyper savoureuse & raffinée. Les goûts sont assez uniques, presque impossible à décrire tant je n'avais jamais mangé de telles saveurs. Les équipes sont bienveillantes, l'ambiance est cool, pas trop bruyante !

Mention spéciale au Canard au 5 épice qui est LE produit à commander sur la carte !!

On m'avait beaucoup parlé du Oncle Lee auparavant & c'était la première fois que j'y suis aller. L'ambiance & la nourriture était superbe au dessus des mes attentes!! Le service était également excellent avec des recommandations de vin au point.

Food taste was really good, but portions were ridiculously small. Even main menu was almost the same size as small appetizers, we are 4 & we ordered 6+ dishes & still so hungry. I feel that every dishes was covered by bunch of coriander to hide small quantities
