Very friendly people & nice service. We went for lunch for a work celebration & they were serving very quickly. Food portion is very generous & taste good overall. Would definitely come back!

2023 May : Menu / price on website is low, when print bill, price is higher. Menu says PLATE has salad + rice, final delivery did not have salad + rice. Meat in pita is like charcoal, bits of broken pieces, dry, burnt. It is like from raking what was left on the tray, under the gyro cylinder. (take-out) It WAS good before the Covid years....
We were a party of 10+ & had reserved prior to coming. We got our table as expected which was good. I ordered a pork souvlaki & it comes with a small Greek salad. Unfortunately they no longer put tzatziki with the souvlaki (you have to ask for it) & the quality of the meat is not the same as it used to be. On the positive side the service was good.
Nostos used to be a great place but it seems it is in decline. I hope they will go back to what they used to be in terms of food.

Seems like Nostos is losing it's touch. Been going for a number of years & generally enjoyed. Decided to try one more time & during this last visit both my friend & I noticed & commented on the lack of meat & tzaziki sauce in our doner. Clearly they are cutting corners & it's pretty evident. Their fries are also horribly sweat & way too greasy. They are not using the best produce on the market. We will never return nor recommend this resto as we were less than impressed.

Second time I go to this restaurant with a cousin of mine. Loved it both times. The pikilia is really good & the portions of tarama & tzatziki are much bigger than I've had at other restaurants. The gyro is delicious & I love their pita bread. Fries are good as well. Our waitress was very nice & accommodating when we asked her not to bring our main meals until we had finished our appetizer. Definitely plan on going back!
Solid Greek 'eats'. It all tastes fresh. I can tell that they take great care in preparing the meats. I enjoy the lamb, chicken, various appetizers, & salads. I am not particularly fond of either the 'manager' or owner's daughter. She was a young lady (glasses) working the cash that day. She seems very moody, annoyed, & not particularly pleasant. She spends a lot of time talking loudly on the phone with complete disregard for the customers within the vicinity. Not very classy. Thankfully on that day we were served by a nice young gentleman. The 3 star rating for service reflects her impact on that day's service & not the actual service itself.
My apologies for ruining your dining experience. I must've been having a bad day. No excuses! Hope you still trust us to give you good food though. Come see us again I'm not always so moody.
Nostos had always been our favorite restaurant for greek food in montreal, but today we were terribly disappointed.
A souvlaki on a pita was very stringy/sinewy & fatty to the point where it was not edible. After seeing the souvlaki still sitting on the plate, & the half chewed marcel of food that couldn't be chewed or swallowed, the waiter asked if there was something wrong. We explained what the problem was & that we couldn't chew through the pieces of meat. He said: "oh".
We also ordered a kalamari plate/dinner: the kalamari looked like white rubber rings. They were completely tasteless & chewy.
We also got no bread with our meal
They were also short staffed, & our waiter had only been working there for two days.
We spoke to the front desk person regarding the meat in the souvlaki, & he responded with a forced "sorry", & a "have a nice day"
Has the management changed?

Le pita souvlaki était délicieux, avec son tzatziki alléchant & sa bonne salade de feta & d'olives. Le calmar aussi était bon mais je vous déconseille les frites qui sont trop molles & sans saveur.
Néanmoins, le service est agréable, le décor joli & l'ambiance souriante :) & ce n'est pas trop cher!
The waitress was very rude. We asked for the gyro not to be well done, & to cut it fresh if it's dry, & her answer was "I can't go in the kitchen to see what they have. They won't do it, if you don't like it, don't order it."
