Went during rush hour, the place was quite busy & hectic. Ended up getting our order to go. The food was good, & the portions were huge. The Greek chicken was a highlight.

Updated review: I've been coming here since 2016 (9 years now) & it never disappoints. Same great taste, same consistent quality, & always friendly service. Highly recommend the gyro souvlaki & the chicken-juicy, flavorful, & delicious.

tastiest in Montreal...believe me as I tried Marathon's, Marven's, Village Grec, Arahova...Nostos rocks! I also really like their grilled chicken, never dry but always tasty & juicy. Damn, I just got a craving writing about this..lol
I'm a pure foodie I know good food. I also love Greek food so I've been to many Greek restaurants in this city. Hands down this restaurant is in my top 3 & we eat there at least twice a month. The grilled chicken is by far the best you'll get in Montreal. We always order it with a big Greek salad & a plate of rice. The food is fresh, the chicken is off the chain amazing & the service is very good. Definitely 5 stars.
The food is good. Especially the chicken. Friendly polite service. A good assortment of Greek ala Portuguese food. A place worth discovering. Good place to dine with your family. Prices are reasonable even though they have gone up a bit. Not upper scale, not fast food either. If you are a beer drinker the draft beer is good & inexpensive. Sorry for my spelling of draft. Anyway it's worth the experience. The chicken is their specialty.
We have been Nostos clients for many years & there is a few good reasons
Their food is just delicious
The staff is very friendly
The place is kept clean
Even the guy at the cash register is super nice & always smiling to the happy customers
Sometimes we pickup take & sometimes we dine in they are super equipped for both
We dined in this week & ordered the 1/2 chicken meal with fries & salad
The chicken came in a short while & arrived hot along with the fries
The olive oil that they use on their salad is amazing & very tasty & portion size is perfect
The chicken is always very juicy & that extra squeeze of lemon on it adds that zing we like
Their food never disappoints
If you like souvlaki & doner sandwiches you will love theirs
Served on authentic Greek bread not pita
Their tzatziki sauce is amazing just the right amount of garlic
We will be going back again next week for sure
We enjoy eating at Nostos as a family. We always take the grilled full chicken which is super tender & juicy. Very light & delicious chicken you can eat! I like the family style serving, you can have either large plates to share or each their portion. The tzatziki is missing something though, like a bit of vinegar & salt... & the tarama also misses some flavours. But overall it's a nice place to be if you want to feel at home somewhere when it comes to food.
Nostos has great food with a great ownership that tends to people's taste. Ask for the whole chicken cut up & ask for parmesan cheese to coat that delicious chicken. Home made Greek salad with olives & Greek feta as your side. Now you're eating Greek food.
To be honest when i heard of this restaurant many years ago, i wasn't expecting much & thought it was all hype. I WAS WRONG. The calamari is excellent as-well as the very popular grilled chicken.This is single handedly the best culinary experience Ive had the pleasure of experiencing.The staff are very fast & friendly. Everyone is very friendly & multilingual.
Had not been there in quite awhile but always enjoyed it. This time around, it was simply OK. & not just my belief, no one in the group felt the food was memorable. Freshness was very good but gyro both pork & chicken lacked a memorable taste. Tzatziki was not strong at all. More of a sour cream taste. Service was good but a little long. Not certain I would visit again. Sorry

Excellent customer service, their espresso is very good! ☕Thank you for the nice experience! 👍🏼😉 Update 3 years later: still highly recommend it! Went for a takeout, chicken souvlaki Brochette plate, very tasty, big portion shared within 2 person, Still a great ambiance, excellent customer service, very nice, friendly, helpful too. Food hot, exact order.
Hadn't been to Nostos in awhile & we regret it. Hands down best greek food in montreal. The porc gyro is perfectly seasoned. The tzaziki is so tasty. Their pita is not overly thick where you are trying to look for the meat. Well balanced proportionally in other words. The salad is tasty with fresh produce & quality greek olive oil. Oh & those who complain about the fries they are out of their mind. Also they make the best grilled chicken.
Went there for a family dinner. First time but food was really good. Service was great. Took Chicken Gyro pita, Calamari entree & a side of Taramosalata (best I've ever had). Was pleasantly surprised. Would go back. Recommended!
