Absolutely incredible experience at Nili. My boyfriend & I are visiting from Vermont, & since we both work in food service, going out to eat, especially on Valentine's Day is something we don't take lightly. We really notice the details, & we know Valentine's Day can be a little overwhelming in food service. Nili exceeded every expectation.
The atmosphere was warm, intimate, & thoughtfully curated. It felt romantic without being over-the-top, & even on such a busy night, everything flowed so smoothly.
The food was outstanding. Every dish was beautifully plated, intentional, & packed with flavor. You could truly taste the care behind every component. As people who work in restaurants ourselves, we know how hard it is to execute at that level on a holiday service & the kitchen absolutely delivered.
The drinks were amazing as well balanced, creative, & perfectly paired with the meal. You can tell real thought went into the cocktail program, not just the food.
What truly made the night special were the people. The chef was incredibly kind & genuine, & you could feel the passion behind the food. Our waitress was so warm, attentive, & welcoming she made us feel completely taken care of all evening. Condos to the kitchen staff you guys rocked it! 🙌
Coming from Vermont, we'll definitely be talking about this dinner for a long time. Thank you, Nili, for making our Valentine's dinner so special. We'll absolutely be back next time we're in Montreal. ❤?
Back to school is like me going back to Nili's.
Had a repeat good experience in a super comfortable setting. Attentive, friendly & knowledgable staff. It was suggested I try their Manhattan cocktail. Unbelievable & yes, I would like another please.
I keep sampling their menu but am stuck with their HACHIS PARMENTIER.

Plutôt déçue en général. C'est presque bien, mais il manque une touche de magie... L'assise au bar ne va pas du tout. On ne peut pas bien s'y installer, les sièges sont vissés au sol & pour ma part beaucoup trop loin du comptoir - il me fallait manger sur le bout du siège, j'étais très mal & ne pouvais pas m'adosser.
On a pris une salade d'épinards à 17$ en entrée : avec 4 cubes de pomme & 4 cubes de betteraves sans goût (visiblement des betteraves sous vide déjà cuites...). Ça nous a inquiété pour la suite... Hors les plats principaux étaient assez bons! On a pris des boulettes de poissons & la pastilla.
Ensuite on a pris des desserts, & là, ouf, grosse déception. Ça manquait vraiment de raffinement, c'était lourd & on ne les a pas terminés. Le miel dans le msmen ne goûtait pas bon & c'est le parfum principal de ce dessert... c'était à mon palais un miel cheap, je mange assez régulièrement des desserts de ce genre & celui-là a mal conclu notre soirée.
Le vin était quant à lui correct, & les cocktails valent le détour!
De notre côté le service a été bon, rien à redire.
Donc il y a du bon, mais quand on paye presque 250$ à deux on espère être plus contents que ça & avoir un bon souvenir.
Très déçue du couscous…sans légumes…& trop peu de sauce verte, c'était sec & servi avec du pain !? Le cocktail bon mais trop de glaçons. Prix élevés pour ça ! Servie ok

Boulette de Merlan, couscous, cocktails & tarte banane, tout était délicieux & très bon service.

Very tasty meal, the Moroccan Couscous is definitely the winner although the spinach salad was tasty. Excellent service & cocktails, will definitely be visiting again!
Unique & tasty food & cocktails with the most sweet & personable staff! The restaurant is decorated beautifully -- very cozy & eclectic. I came back a second time & they remembered me & of course were so friendly even though a month had gone by. If you are visiting Montreal or are a local & have yet to find this place, you definitely should!
Some food is delicious (fish Meatballs & couscous) other is kind of sad & disappointing (baked feta & merguez). All is heavy on the salt. Service is friendly & efficient. Nice vibe. Good but small cocktails.
This restaurant was delicious & had a great assortment of wine & cocktails. We sat outside on the patio which was very charming. The staff here are so pleasant & helpful. Would love to sit inside because it also looks great!

C’est devenu de loin ma meilleure adresse à Montréal. La cuisine y est délicieuse & savoureuse, notamment le couscous qui est juste à tomber par terre. Les cocktails sont aussi très bon, le thé à la menthe vaut le détour. L’ambiance & le service sont toujours parfaits. Le rapport qualité prix est incroyablement positif!
We found Nili through Resy & were happy to see it had reservations available. As vegetarians, we had excellent options from which to choose. I had the vegetarian couscous which was delicious - perfectly flavored. The presentation was excellent. We also tried the cocktails which were all delicious. Lovely waitstaff & a great outdoor seating area.
