The food was amazing. The people are very friendly, & the portions are quite reasonable.
Authentic Indian experience & food. Reasonable price & portions. Their medium spicy was pretty mild IMHO, if you want it hot ask for spicy.
Super good service & yummy food. I recommend the butter chicken
Ive been coming to this restaraunt for 3 years now & it never disappoints. The best indian food in the west island
Meilleur restaurant indien que je connaisse. Toujours délicieux & frais. Portions généreuse, épices fantastiques. Personnel accueillant. A+++
Basically, it was ok. Some dishes were better than others. If you figure out which to order & which to avoid you'll probably enjoy your food.
It was a take out order so I can't comment on the service, but the person that took the order was nice enough.
My take on the dishes we ordered:
- Really enjoyed the samosas.
- The lababdar, chicken & paneer, were both tasty. The color was a bit weird, I'm used to a redder color (maybe it's a regional difference), but I still enjoyed it.
- The chicken tikka masala was not very good in my opinion. The texture & color felt more like tomato (spaghetti) sauce. I've had much better.
- I didn't taste the butter chicken, but no one at the table was raving about it, or complaining about it (take this as you want).
- The naan didn't seem fresh & had no ghee or butter on it. It wasn't bad, but I've had better.
Wow. Delicious. I have been to many Indian restaurants & this was absolutely the best. Food was delicious. Service was friendly & very helpful (I ask a lot of questions). Portion were generous. Will definitely make this place a regular spot from now on.
Excellent!
Ordered Aloo Gobi, rice, garlic naan & samosas to add to my family buffet table, & it was outstanding! Thank you chef!
This was the first time trying at NEW ROYAL INDIA. Went to try their Chicken Biriyani, ordered on the spot spicy, it was really good, presentation was fabulous with onions & lemon, chicken was tender & cooked perfectly & many blend of various spices. Atmosphere was very clean & most of all service was spot on A+++ they are very good people, hospitality was more than there. Thanks again guys, warm greetings
It was just OK - the gulab jamun was my favourite part of the meal. Will try again tho.
Charming restaurant that serves delicious, tasty dishes. Very lovely & welcoming owners & staff. Thank you so much !
This little hole in the wall has great food. I know that I gave it 4 stars for a reason. The Chettinad chicken was very tasty, the goat was excellent, my wife said, & the lamb melts in your mouth. The rice was undercooked & wet. This is why I gave it a 4 star. The young lady behind the counter was the owner's daughter, & she assisted me in picking the food. Never knew this place existed. Great find. I will definitely go back. We bought a lot of dishes but the price is good.
Had my sister 18th birthday party over there & everything was incredible!
Went last Saturday & it was just amazing, the food & everything top notch.
The food is DELICIOUS!! Went for a birthday party so we got to taste a few things from the menu- the samosas, the butter chicken, the paneer bites, incredible. The staff was super kind & friendly, I will definitely come back. Best Indian food I've had in Montreal yet- in terms of variety, taste, staff being so considerate.
Very good !! Especially the samosa & the butter chicken. Staff very friendly . They were able to adjust to my level of spiciness. Restaurant clean
