New Royal India est souvent salué pour ses saveurs indiennes authentiques, ses portions généreuses et des prix raisonnables, avec le butter chicken, les samosas, le naan à l'ail et d'autres plats favoris recevant de fortes recommandations, et le service reste aimable et serviable, ce qui donne l'impression d'une expérience fiable tant pour le fait de commander à emporter que pour le service sur place. Bien que la plupart des avis soient positifs, quelques expériences mentionnent des incohérences comme des bhaji d'oignon durs, du riz basmati non utilisé malgré l'étiquetage, et certains plats comme le chicken tikka masala ou le naan pas aussi frais, mais beaucoup considèrent tout de même l'établissement comme une pépite avec un bon rapport qualité-prix et un service rapide.
New Royal India is usually my favourite Indian restaurant. It is always amazing.
However, last time we ordered something was different.
First of all, the onion bhaji were hard as rocks, nearly broke our teeth.
The byriani was not made with basmati rice (despite it clearly saying basmati on the menu).
Best samosas ever! The service is always kind & friendly. Their garlic naan & butter chicken are incredible as well. This has been my go-to Indian takeout spot for the past two years!
Basically, it was ok. Some dishes were better than others. If you figure out which to order & which to avoid you'll probably enjoy your food.
It was a take out order so I can't comment on the service, but the person that took the order was nice enough.
My take on the dishes we ordered:
- Really enjoyed the samosas.
- The lababdar, chicken & paneer, were both tasty. The color was a bit weird, I'm used to a redder color (maybe it's a regional difference), but I still enjoyed it.
- The chicken tikka masala was not very good in my opinion. The texture & color felt more like tomato (spaghetti) sauce. I've had much better.
- I didn't taste the butter chicken, but no one at the table was raving about it, or complaining about it (take this as you want).
- The naan didn't seem fresh & had no ghee or butter on it. It wasn't bad, but I've had better.
Wow. Delicious. I have been to many Indian restaurants & this was absolutely the best. Food was delicious. Service was friendly & very helpful (I ask a lot of questions). Portion were generous. Will definitely make this place a regular spot from now on.
This was the first time trying at NEW ROYAL INDIA. Went to try their Chicken Biriyani, ordered on the spot spicy, it was really good, presentation was fabulous with onions & lemon, chicken was tender & cooked perfectly & many blend of various spices. Atmosphere was very clean & most of all service was spot on A+++ they are very good people, hospitality was more than there. Thanks again guys, warm greetings
