Loved this hotel!! Breakfast was excellent. SO CLEAN. Right next to the REM where you can park & easily go downtown. Really excellent stay. Just 1 point off for service as front reception girls were not very welcoming.
Very Disappointing Stay - Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Montreal Airport
I was very disappointed with our stay at Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Montreal Airport. We booked a family room for 5 people, but unfortunately, the room did not meet the standard we expected from a Marriott property.
First, the lighting in the room was extremely poor. There were very few lights, & the room felt dark even when all the lights were turned on. It honestly felt like only a night lamp was on, which made the room uncomfortable.
The sofa bed was also very uncomfortable. The two double beds were fine, but the sofa bed was the worst. It made a lot of noise whenever the person moved while sleeping, & it was very uncomfortable to sleep on. For a family room intended for 5 people, this should definitely be improved.
Another issue was the charging outlets. The two ports are placed directly beside each other, so if you plug one adapter into one port, the second port becomes practically unusable because there isn't enough space for another adapter. This is a small design issue, but very inconvenient for a family travelling with multiple devices.
Most importantly, we found two insects in the bathroom, which was very concerning from a cleanliness & hygiene perspective. I have attached a photo for reference. This was especially disappointing & raised serious concerns about the cleanliness of the room.
Overall, our experience was far below what we expected. The poor lighting, uncomfortable sofa bed, inconvenient charging outlets, & especially the insects in the bathroom made our stay very disappointing. I hope the hotel takes these concerns seriously & improves the room conditions & cleanliness for future guests.
My son was on a stopover on his way to YUY, absolutely terrible customer service, wouldn't accept a credit card authorisation form or debit deposit for his room. He lost his card, I've never been treated like this by a hotel.
We stayed there for a night after a canceled flight. The staff were very kind & helpful, the rooms were clean, the showers had perfectly hot water, & the beds were comfortable. They provided much needed respite during a very stressful time.
Incredibly rigid & awful service. If you need a night at the airport, there are lots of options out there. For anything else I'd absolutely steer clear.
We stayed 2 nights & the service was disappointing.
The room had a coffee machine but no coffee kit or cups. When I asked, I was told to come downstairs & get it myself.
When I requested plates & spoons, I was told I couldn't take even 2 from the stack of 20+ in the breakfast area because they'd be needed for breakfast. Does the hotel really only have 20 plates?
The in-room TV advertised parking at $20/day, but I was charged $35/day.
The toilet seat wasn't properly cleaned, & when I asked for it to be addressed, I was told no one was available.
I've stayed at many hotels, & I'd rate this the worst in terms of service.
