Afficher toutpoutine(290) smoked meat(45) drink(29) recommend(25) hot dog(22) gravy(19) fries(18) sandwich(17) chicken(16) terrasse(15) quick(15) vibe(14)We only got the regular poutine & that was good choice. The curds were melted the gravy was nice- I wish it was just a bit hotter. The portions were quite generous for their prices. Two people could definitely share one. There just wasn't really something that stuck out to me that set it aside from over poutine places. I will say that for the touristy part of Montréal it was in, it had very fast service & the hostess' were extremely kind & friendly.
We've tried several other poutines but this is by far the best one we've had. Loaded with gravy & cheese curds. Definitely would come back again.
Montreal's best poutine in my opinion! The vibe of this spot in Old Montreal is so cute, the chips are fresh & crispy, with the most flavourful gravy & LOADS of cheese curds! The location is surrounded by cute streets to walk off your food coma. Highly recommend this as your poutine spot when you visit Montreal.
No vegan option for poutine on the menu, the gravy contains gluten, not all waiters were able to inform us about allergens & there was no way to look it up, it took 3 people to bring us a QR code to the menu, there was lint in the drink of my partner, I received a different beer than ordered, there was a piece of cheese in my'vegan' poutine, I did not receive onions on my poutine even though it was ordered.
The poutine was amazingggg! Fries were super crispy but soft, gravy was a little sweet which was really nice, & the cheese was just chefs kiss. Would recommend
I loved this spot. Beware that there are steep stairs.
My first poutine in Canada. It was what I expected. It went well with the Sterling Chardonnay on the menu.
We enjoyed the smoked meat sandwich also. We split two plates, had a pop & 9oz wine.
Tasty gravy!
Poutine was not good (fries were cold, gravy was unseasoned) & the service was terrible. We had to ask for water three times. We were never checked on during our meal, literally had to keep flagging down the hostess to come to our table & find our waiter. Way overpriced for the quality of the food - Modavie is down the street & has much better poutine for half the price!
We've been trying different poutines across Montreal & Quebec City, so we opted to try this one, sitting in the heart of Old Montreal city. We chose to sit indoors instead of the patio as the sun was heavy & hot that day. We ordered one ($15.99) to share with two drinks. A peach juice & a blue raspberry slushie. ($35 taxes included) The poutine was meh average, nothing special & not at all a show stopper to write home about. The gravy tasted the same as Harvey's poutine. Yes, I'm not proud that I'm comparing to Harvey's gravy but Yes, I'm dead serious! The peach juice was nice & refreshing, but the slushie had a DEAD BEE crushed with the ice!! It was absolutely disgusting to find AFTER my guest finished her drink!! All they did was remove the drink from the bill & apologized. The wooden tables & chairs & dining space in the upstairs dinette was cozy & nice bright from the sun.
Got a beer & the Poutine. Poutine was very delicious! The gravy was overflowing from the sides though so it does get messy!.
Crispy fries, rich gravy, & gooey cheese curds are a match made in heaven. Friendly staff & a laid-back atmosphere make it a must-visit for poutine lovers.
The smoked meat poutine was tasty, the smoked meat sandwich was kind of small. The service was very disappointing. I asked for a glass of water & they said they only had bottled water for $4, but when we ordered cans of soda, they brought glasses with ice, you couldn't have filled that with tap water for free? We all ordered food. Then they said it would take 20 minutes for the food to arrive, took more like 30, there was gravy all over the sides of the poutine, the server stuck his thumb in plate, & we were never brought cutlery or napkins. I had to help myself to those. Skip the dishes, or skip altogethe
The Poutine gravy is good, but the fries are little bit over cook, you can taste bitter, quite disappointed because they label themselves first in poutine. Hot dog is normal, not bad!! Service are good, environment is classic!! There is a very funny thing is the air conditioning system hanging on the second floor wall outside keep making very noisy sound & shaking like going to drop down immediately, hahaha.
By sheer coincidence, we stumbled upon this poutine restaurant (which also serves alcohol). While wandering in Old Montreal, we decided to take a break here. We ordered two beers & a poutine to share, & it was absolutely delicious! The fries, coated in gravy, remained crispy, & combined with the cheese curds, it was divine. The service was also excellent; everyone was prompt & friendly. I believe they deserve even higher praise for their food & service. However, the beer prices might be a tad high, but still manageable. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Montreal.
Waiter was great, location was nice with a nice view of the street, not much atmosphere but ok. Food was ....ok, mine was very cold on top, warm in middle & hot at the bottom which ends up cold by time you get to it. The flavour was nice tho just need to work on how they heat it. Might have just been unlucky. Considering the price for some chips with gravy on it should be better.
Beautiful place to have your first poutine experience. Not many gluten-free options, but our waitress was beyond kind & suggested their fried onion poutine without gravy, & we were incredibly satisfied! Creative, caring, & delicious. Oh, & amazing locally brewed beer! Will return!
This places says it all. If you're looking for authentic Montreal poutine this place is the way to go. The gravy is rich & portions are really big.
