The curds were melted the gravy was nice- I wish it was just a bit hotter. The portions were quite generous for their prices. Two people could definitely share one. There just wasn't really something that stuck out to me that set it aside from over poutine places. I will say that for the touristy part of Montréal it was in, it had very fast service & the hostess' were extremely kind & friendly.
We were here with the friends of international company: we ENJOYED POUTINE, & the BEST service in French & English provided by Jenna!
Great experience over all. Kind staff, good drinks & the poutin was top tier. Worth a visit for sure. Get the fried chicken poutin.
Poutine Montreal truly lives up to its reputation for having some of the best fried chicken in Montreal-crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, & full of flavor. Absolutely loved it!
I was also pleasantly surprised by their customized rum + hot water + honey drink-I ordered it for a sore throat, & it was honestly amazing & very comforting. Such a thoughtful & warming touch.
The only downside was the hot chocolate, which didn't quite meet expectations.
Overall, great food, excellent fried chicken, & a memorable experience. Would definitely come back again! 🍗🥃
Cute place in old town for a heaping portion of poutine! The fried chicken was great - & could have fed two. Probably for tourists for than locals but very festive for Christmas time! Great service
We came here with a large group (16) they were very accommodating & set us up in the back room. The Montreal smoked meat poutine leaves nothing to be desired… mmmmm. The staff was very friendly & helpful. This is an upstairs restaurant with a narrow staircase to get up to it.
We were admiring the stone walls & our son asked how old the building was. They said over 200 years, so that is pretty special.
Ordered Montreal smoked meat sandwich & fries. It was good.
This was our first experience with poutine & it did not disappoint! Everything was so delicious & we had plenty to share. Our server was friendly & gave us some great recommendations (the poutine with fried chicken was so good)! Highly recommend, will definitely come back on our next trip to Montreal!
Cocktails were amazing, staff was friendly & food was amazing too. Overall amazing experience would come again
We stopped by this spot in the heart of Old Montreal's open-air shopping district & were pleasantly surprised. I went for the spicy sausage poutine-bold, savory, & just the right amount of heat. My friends tried the smoked meat poutine, which was rich & satisfying. The open seating area was a great touch-spacious, relaxed, & perfect for people-watching. A solid choice if you're craving comfort food with a local twist.
Generous portions worth the money, 2 person shared each poutine & we were full.
Only negative was that they only provide bottle water.
Loved the rustic Old Port atmosphere & the wait staff was professional & absolutely wonderful. We were a large group & it was made clear in a friendly & professional manner that there's an automatic gratuity added due to the size of our walk-in party. We were easily accommodated despite it being lunchtime.
The food however...
My only personal issue was the quality of smoke meat on the poutine. It was akin to overcooked minced meat & nothing like MTL smoke meat one would expect (especially for the price). The poutine sauce was as expected, cheese the perfect squeaky-curds & melted. The fries were decent too. Crispy, not the greasy spoon fast food you get from LBP.
I would return for a standard poutine next time maybe but am still quite disappointed with my smoke meat experience :(
The servers were friendly, the food was very good, & the portions were huge. I highly recommend this place.
It was good. It was empty upstairs. They have an outside section which was busy & I think had a nicer atmosphere. Waitress was civil. Not rude but not overly friendly. As the bill was coming I asked for water as we had quite a walk back but she said they only had bottles so had to buy a bottle of eska for 4$ when they charge 2$ down the street. Anyway if someone asked how the meal was I'd say the place is fine.
We found this little gem in the heart of Old Montréal. The good was served hot, delicious, & very quickly. It is a busy spot but everything moves very quickly, so definitely worth the wait. A very cool vibe to enjoy with friends.
The poutine was amazingggg! Fries were super crispy but soft, gravy was a little sweet which was really nice, & the cheese was just chefs kiss. Would recommend
Tried the poutine which was good. The sauce was excellent. Fries were ok. But overall one of the better poutines I have had in the city. Also tried the smoke meat platter. Smoke meat was ok. Nothing special. I think what bothered us the most is the WATERED DOWN sangria. $35 for pitcher that has so little actual alcohol. Made it feel like a tourist trap & we live in Montreal. We wouldn't go back.
Service was efficient. Tables are soooo small for 4 people it's ridiculous. Not comfortable to sit, eat & enjoy.
Best place to eat, drink & socialize in Montreal! I couldn't find a negative thing about Montreal Poutine even if I tried! The ambience, the space/decoration, the fast service & the food quality are unparalleled! The staff is amazing! Friendly but discreet, they're at your disposal whenever you need them! They made a great experience even more memorable! We'll definitely make it our « go to » place !
