The meat was very close to a Pastrami with a little smoked flavor. Very very good. Came with fries that tou could upgrade to Poutine, coleslaw & pickles. Loved it.
honestly, my friend & i came from toronto to montreal to visit & decided to try this place out. the food was amazing but our experience went bad when the male server came to give us the bill & saw that i tipped 18% (which was fair given that we only got one poutine & didn't talk to the servers) & he started questioning me about the service in a rude tone & threw our receipt at us. this was extremely disappointing especially because he was NOT our server. won't be back here.
The food was incredible but beware, the portions are HUGE 🤯 The service is outstanding; the staff is super friendly & attentive. Would definitely recommend going here! In my opinion, both the food & service are better than at the mega-popular La Banquise, which is why I highly suggest going to Montreal Poutine if you're visiting & want a taste of authentic Québécois culture. The location is excellent, close to Champ-de-Mars metro station, & in a very beautiful part of Montreal's Vieux Port. The atmosphere is also much better & less cramped than at the previously-mentioned competitor. 10/10 would recommend 😁
Friendly staff, Poutine with spiced sauces was amazing, reasonable prices, would highly recommend
I was there with 3 friends after a long drive from Ajax so we were hungry.
The server took our drink order & it never arrived. They were nice & moved us to a larger table when the 4th member of our party arrived.
We ordered drinks again (they charge for water as only bottled available) & poutine. The poutine was delicious.
We waited a long time for our bills. It was busy but they seemed to have lots of servers around so not sure why there was such a delay.
Just a quick & easy way to have Poutine in Old Montreal. We had the poutine with fried chicken. As a dish, I can't say I'm the biggest fan, but regardless it's pretty good. The combination of fried, cheese, & gravy is pretty unique & not bad. The chicken was pretty good as well.
The most avereage poutine you will ever have. The fries were cold & the gravy missed flavour. Dont go here if you want authentic poutine. The servers were rude & asked why didnt we tip when the service & food were bad.
I've walked in front of this place a million times & told myself tonight was the night, I was in the mood for a good poutine & with a name like Montreal Poutine, you can't go wrong, right?
It was alright...
Nothing to write home about. The gravy was your typical BBQ-style St-Hubert grocery store variety. Fries were OK. Cheese was squeaky, at least.
Patio & music were amazing, though.
Would go back for drinks.
Had the smoked meat poutine with my son today, it was fantastic! Generous portions, great friendly staff, lovely atmospheric building, a true Montreal poutine experience!
Great Poutine . The best we had . Drinks were great also:-)The server suggested the fried chicken poutine next time .
