We have ordered paella to take out. The paella is authentic & as savouring as the one eaten in Spain, especially the black rice👍.
Staff were very polite.
BRAVO
This Spanish restaurant is truly special. Although I haven't yet been to Valencia, I have travelled throughout Spain, & I can confidently say that the cooking here is both genuinely authentic & exceptionally well executed.
Nothing feels compromised or adapted for convenience-not even the ingredients. The quality is what you would expect to find in Spain itself, & it is remarkable that they have managed to bring it all together here in Montreal. Honestly, several of the dishes were better than versions I have had at highly rated restaurants in Madrid & Catalonia.
The Pintxo Gilda was excellent, with olives, high-quality anchovies, & the proper traditional peppers. I was especially impressed that they used the authentic peppers found in Spain, rather than substituting the cheaper, more readily available varieties that many restaurants use.
The Croquetas de Jamón Ibérico were flawlessly executed-crisp on the outside, creamy inside, & better than any croquetas I have had in Spain.
The Paella Valenciana was another standout. It was made with the correct variety of beans, & the rice was cooked perfectly without becoming overdone. It had a decent socarrat, although maybe could have used another minute on the flame, & both the rabbit & chicken were cooked perfectly & were very moist.
For anyone who wants to experience traditional Spanish cuisine without flying to Spain, this is the definitely the place to go in Montreal. Will definitely be back many times more.
The best Paellas in Montreal, they brought me back to Spain. Everyone reading this must try the Valenciana Paella. I definitely recommend this place & I'll be going back for sure.
Honestly a very good paella, or fideua! Same quality & taste then the one you can eat in Spain!!! The croquettes are made by them & very good too! Nothing frozen! I go eating there anytime I go downtown! Strongly recommended to have a taste of Spain in Montreal Downtown.
When it tastes like home it's a winner!!
I usually compare the tortilla de patatas with mine, & it did not disappoint! It was as good as mine 😉 ☺?
Since I came back from Spain last year I've been yearning for Callos (tripe stew) & O...... M........ G..... It was amazing, as good as the one I had in Barcena Mayor 😍 😍 😍 🥰 🥰 🥰 🥰 definitely coming back for that!!
This was so authentic I felt like I was back in Valencia, Spain. You gotta eat here....yes, the show should visit this restaurant too.
The food was good but for the costs it was way too expensive. As someone who has lived in Spain & who has had a lot of paella, the portions are too expensive for what it is.
