A must to go & return!
The food was delicious -authentic Spanish food-, the menu variety is great, & the service was incredible. Thanks to Antar for the amazing service, for being such a welcoming host, taking the time to explain us the dishes & for his recommendations.
We will return for sure!
We have ordered paella to take out. The paella is authentic & as savouring as the one eaten in Spain, especially the black rice👍.
Staff were very polite.
BRAVO
This Spanish restaurant is truly special. Although I haven't yet been to Valencia, I have travelled throughout Spain, & I can confidently say that the cooking here is both genuinely authentic & exceptionally well executed.
Nothing feels compromised or adapted for convenience-not even the ingredients. The quality is what you would expect to find in Spain itself, & it is remarkable that they have managed to bring it all together here in Montreal. Honestly, several of the dishes were better than versions I have had at highly rated restaurants in Madrid & Catalonia.
The Pintxo Gilda was excellent, with olives, high-quality anchovies, & the proper traditional peppers. I was especially impressed that they used the authentic peppers found in Spain, rather than substituting the cheaper, more readily available varieties that many restaurants use.
The Croquetas de Jamón Ibérico were flawlessly executed-crisp on the outside, creamy inside, & better than any croquetas I have had in Spain.
The Paella Valenciana was another standout. It was made with the correct variety of beans, & the rice was cooked perfectly without becoming overdone. It had a decent socarrat, although maybe could have used another minute on the flame, & both the rabbit & chicken were cooked perfectly & were very moist.
For anyone who wants to experience traditional Spanish cuisine without flying to Spain, this is the definitely the place to go in Montreal. Will definitely be back many times more.
A spectacular & truly authentic paella, with the rice cooked to perfection. The service was a 10/10; a huge thanks to Carolina for her friendly & professional attention, she made us feel so welcome!
We had a great experience at Montreal Paella. The food was very good, & the taste was excellent. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, & well prepared. The service was also friendly & welcoming. Definitely a place worth visiting if you enjoy authentic paella & Spanish cuisine.
Authentic Spanish food in the city of Montreal. The taste is perfect. I tried croquettes, churro, Pata bravas & more. Food is incredible
A Late-Night Gem Serving Unforgettable Flavors!
If you're exploring Montreal & find yourself craving fantastic food after most kitchens have closed, look no further than Montreal Paella! This place is a true savior for night owls & food lovers, proving that late-night eats don't have to be ordinary.
The atmosphere is lively & authentic, making you feel like you've stumbled into a cozy tapas bar in Barcelona. We started with the Pulpo A La Gallega - the octopus was incredibly tender, perfectly smoky, & seasoned with paprika & olive oil that made every bite a small celebration.
But the real star of the show was the Mariscos Paella. Packed with fresh seafood-succulent mussels, clams, shrimp, & more-this dish was an absolute flavor explosion. The saffron-infused rice was cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of socarrat (that delicious crispy bottom layer). Every spoonful transported us straight to the Mediterranean coast.
Whether you're ending a night out or simply in the mood for exceptional Spanish cuisine, Montreal Paella delivers on all fronts. I'm already dreaming of my next visit to Montreal just to have another taste. ¡Olé!
This paella spot was a pleasure. The host was super kind, the food was great - & authentic (the host was Spanish... & it's not like a guy from India is making the food). I had the seafood paella (marisco) which was served with some mysterious local (to Valencia I'm guessing) sauce that you mix with the rice. I think it was some sort of aioli sauce or spread. I'm happy I ventured into this spot.
Great little spot to grab some authentic Spanish food. Portion sizes were fine, food was lovely & served piping hot. The staff were really friendly & helpful.
This was so authentic I felt like I was back in Valencia, Spain. You gotta eat here....yes, the show should visit this restaurant too.
