Mont Eclair is a small gem tucked along Mont-Royal Avenue, a lively pedestrian street filled with cafés, bakeries, & restaurants. From the outside, the shop is easy to miss, but step inside & you'll find a beautifully designed space with pastries that look just as elegant as the setting.
Their flagship item is the éclair, though they also offer chocolate bars, tarts, & other finely crafted pastries. The young woman working during my visit was warm & welcoming-she spoke both English & French, which made ordering easy-& she happily answered our questions about ingredients & flavors. I chose a lavender tart, which was as delicious as it was striking in presentation-perfectly balanced in sweetness with a wonderful texture.
Most pastries, including éclairs, are around $7 CAD each. While slightly on the higher end, the quality & artistry more than justify the price. A few small tables inside make it easy to sit & enjoy your pastry on the spot.
If you're exploring Mont-Royal Avenue & craving something refined & memorable, Mont Eclair is well worth the stop.
These eclairs are amazing! It's been so long since I've found a good eclair. The Mont Royal (traditional chocolate eclair) was out of this world! The owners were so gracious & friendly too. If you love eclairs, this is the place for you! If you don't love eclairs, you've never had a real one yet & you need to come here!
Our kids were craving eclairs. This was the second place we visited & were treated to a great variety of options! Kid favorites were classic chocolate, passion fruit & strawberry. The parent favorites were hazelnut & lemon meringue. Stunning presentation & friendly service. We paid with click pay & opted for take out (there were a few chairs to eat there).
It's not with a light heart I write this. I bought a box of chocolates from here for valentines & I wasn't overly impressed. I found the place just by chance one day walking by as it's truly a beautiful shop with gorgeous éclairs. However, the box of chocolates I ordered wasn't ideal. First off the box it came in wasn't great. I wasn't expecting anything fancy but for the price I was hoping a simple but nice box. The box was a bit flimsy & felt cheap honestly. You can kinda of see the inside walls in the box are a bit crooked & there was markings on the inside of the box. As for the chocolates they're decent. I was hoping for some truly simple, classic, delicious local chocolates & they were pretty average.
All that being said, I'm very willing to change my mind & give it another chance. The ratings don't lie & so I'm sure maybe my choice wasn't the best or they were having an off day.
PS check out the 2nd & 3rd photo is that not one of the most beautiful things you've seen.

I'm using Google translate to respond so I hope nothing was lost in translation. First & foremost I have absolute zero intention to harm your reputation, I have never heard of your chocolate shop before Valentine's Day & i am simply giving my honest thoughts on the product you are selling. My 2 star review is low & I will be honest it was on the border of being a 3 star experience. However, I'd like to respond to your critiques of my review. Firstly, if you actually read my review I name numerous positive aspects to my experience but as a whole I was not happy with my experience. Secondly, you say your boxes are high quality & built to protect the chocolates. They do protect the chocolates however they (in my opinion) not high quality & the box i received was flimsy & also dirty. Thirdly, you say that your chocolates are recognized for exceptional quality, ingredients, & a wide variety of flavours. I honestly don't doubt this but I think you're clearly forgetting the purpose of a review which is to review MY experience & MY opinion. You are correct in saying I chose the chocolates; I did but that doesn't mean I'm forced to enjoy the chocolates I chose.
I find it very concerning that you immediately think my suboptimal review is malicious in nature, it is not at all. I give plenty of 4 & 5 stars to quality restaurants. Your chocolates were expensive, had a sub par packaging, & average flavour. This is all my opinion, that being said I hope you take this as constructive feedback & I'd happily give your chocolates another go. Please remember what my review is meant to be & maybe I'll see you guys next Valentine's Day 😉.
They are very welcoming! Although we arrived here last minute on Dec 24th, they welcomed us warmly! The space is cozy, & their pastries & chocolates are delicious

The place is very French & charming 🇫🇷 👌 The lady - Yasmin, was extremely nice 🥰 I love how they designed all eclairs, chocolates etc. Coffee served in those colorful cups, giving you an additional French & cozy feeling, & it was delicious ☕️😋. Love everything in this caffè. It's like a little French in Canada 💙🤍❤️ I wish we had something like this in NY.
Awesome éclairs & nice selection of handmade nut creams & fruit jams. 6,10$ per éclair before taxes - not bad for a good quality dessert! They make great hot chocolates with a real chocolate base (& not cacao powder). Lady at cash was lovely & knew her products.

I'll preface by saying I'm a sucker for pretty & sugary things, & as a Belgian, chocolate is a cultural sensitivity for me. My girlfriend & I visited this store on Saturday & we ended up paying 35,98$ before tip for 2 éclairs & 9 chocolates. The vendor was extremely enthusiastic about the quality of their raw materials ('we used the best chocolate'), but after tasting them at home, we were quite dissapointed. It's not so much the quality, as it is the value-price balance. At this price point, I want to be wowed, which wasn't the case. The éclairs were nice, but nothing to rave about, but the real hurt was the 9 tiny chocolates (which, if my math is right - amount to nearly 2$ a piece?). I'm used to fine chocolates, & if I compare this to say Marcolini, this is not worth the price. Sorry to say, but I would advice you review your pricing accordingly - at this point, you get more value (& similar, if not better) quality in other nearby pastry shops.
